I Love My PROFOILS

WOW, They are awesome..

First day it was nice with wind.. I checked yahoo weather and it said 20- 30 mph, so I grabbed my High Wind Bag, full of my Profoils..

I used my new wind meter and said it was 19, so out with the 2.5m.. I was Shocked how much Power and how Fast it was..I didnt bring my harness and the handles were ripping out of my hand almost...It reminded me of my old Kawasaki Rice Rocket..
I flew it for about 1/2 hour, but it was Strong..

I switched down to the 1.5m and the wind read 22mph.. Now this was Perfect.. Long Scuds with a very fast kite that kept a tight figure 8 down the beach.. Very Nice Kite..
Flew it for near an hour..

Wind climbed to 24 mph, and I moved for fun to the 1m...Took right off and Flew like a dream.. Very fun and super fast..After a 1/2 hour of that Im home and Tired.

I Loved them All........ A Must to Have :singing:

Remember to double knot the Bridal lines..

I enjoy flying mine as well, but they really tend to bowtie in bumpy condiions. Great beach kite, though. I had a bridle knot let loose on a 1.5 in high winds, overloading the other three and snappng them. I chased that thing for blocks before it finally got grabbed by a bush.

Mind if I chime in?!! I just got to fly my new 2.5m ($75 USD) ProFoil last weekend in 10-12 mph steady coastal winds and it was like butta! The kite flew so smoothly, no bow-ties, parks at the zenith, tight wing-tip brake-turns...almost more like a two-line stunt kite than a 4-line power kite when it comes to agility!

The previous week I flew my 1.0m ($40 USD) and 1.5m ($50 USD) ProFoils inland in gusty 15-20mph conditions (gusting to 25 or so). The wind was changing directions and gusting quite a bit, so I did have some folding problems from time to time, but usually a little tugging on the handles would straighten things out and up they'd go! They love to fly. I short-roped the 1.0m on some SHORT 10 m or 12 m lines and it was like watching a #@%$#!roach on caffeine...whistling in the high winds! I flew the 1.5m on my 25m Pansh lines, of all things!

It's too bad I didn't have the 2.5m at that time to try...it probably would have given me some nice scuds!

If you're looking for a great, inexpensive quad-line power kite, especially a high-wind kite, HURRY up and get one from Ted at Kite Innovations before they're all gone--he's closing up shop!

My kite bag:
Pansh Legend 3.0m, 4.5m (for sale $60)
Ted\'s ProFoil 1.0m / 1.5m / 2.5m
Prism Nexus dual line
Premier Parafoil-2 single line
