I'm thinking about going to El Mirage this weekend also...Haven't decided on Sat or Sun...too early to call. My wife let's me go one day a week so it really depends on the wind and if I decide to see some friends on Friday or Saturday night. It's been averaging 15-25 this week so I'm assuming Sat or Sun should be similar.

I haven't kitesurfed for a while, however, so if Oxnard is blowing, that will be my first choice.

I've been to El Mirage the last two weekends. Place is amazing. Wind is so damn consistent. Seems to pick up about 3-4pm. 1st weekend topped out at 32mph - consistently mid 20's. Last weekend topped out at 28mph...blowing anywhere from 18 - 28mph. Bring your small kites unless you're a madman and like living on the edge : )'
