Hello guys,

Couldn't find any forum for this, so I decided to post it here. I hope someone can move it to the proper place (and tell me too!)

Anyways, the name is Mark Baluk. I've been into kiting for over a year now. I'm from Canada (the place where we ride polar bears to work and live in igloos!)

I love to board (on land) with my kites as well with snowboards and kites in the winter. I haven't yet ventured off into the waters, but theres no way to tell if I will go very soon or not. (live right close to the Great Lakes 25-30mins away to the closest one (L. Ontario)

Anyways, I was told to come here by Tridude - seems like a nice guy and I'd love to participate in these forums. (Member of FF and RS-P-A-M-L-I-N-K-s forums) Shall I dare actually say the names? :singing:

There are a few of us from "up north" here. The only news for a fellow Canadian is that WolfWolfee is working on putting together a clinic / gathering for all Canadians ,with Instructors from Great Britian in Winterpeg :tumble: . Hopefully next summer, after the Polar Bears have left town and all the Seal clubbing is over ! :wink2: :wink2:

How is that 5m Ace Baluk? I am going to get to try one soon

It's pretty nice. I don't have any kites that I can compare it to that are similar, only have kites that are all in a way diff size and league.

But it is pretty nice for boarding, with some good amounts of lift for jumping on the board. I find it likes to overfly a bit (and sometimes a lot) and if it gets slack then it will take a nose dive and kinda invert - but this is pretty much taken care of most of the time when you apply proper brakes.

Low wind performance is very nice, in the lightest breezes, when you get it going ( in static flying ) you can get some decent pull. It turns very well on two lines as well as four lines.

For the price I got it at 100$, it was a complete steal. 200$ is still good, but you will see what you think in the weeks to come when you try it out.
