FS 2Cool review?
From what little I've seen on this forum, nobody thinks the FS Cool is worth much. Anybody have any experience with the 2Cool? Powerzone?
From the factory linesplan, it looks like depower and camber adjustment would be pretty "course" - not like the "UDS'ish" rig used on the Pulse or P3.
But is the kite envelope in and of itself lacking, or does it just need a rig upgrade? And if it really is a dog, is FS just trying to fit a
pricepoint that is better filled by, say, an Access II?

see following post

2cool is an upgrade of the cool1, they added the 5th line safety. but depower is bad, fixed bridles no pulleys.
powerzone, correct me if i'm wrong
for that price range, you're better with an access 2 which has better depower, and a trimmer
or get you a Christmas gift in advance, buy a Pulse.

Buzz -
Did see that post.
From what I can see on the FS lineplans, there are rings at the kiteat the C's (about 65% of chord) that might make for a "sort of" WingWarp system.
From my experience with that mod on other kites, the "depower" is more of a "repower" - bang on/bang off.
I've rerigged several kites with UDSII setups and found they fly quite well on bar or handles. I don't doubt the Access II all-in-all is a better
kite. You pay a premium for the Pulse, and when you figure all the features, quality, and what they spent on R&D, you can see why.
Just wondered why they didn't work a bit harder to make the 2Cool a better intro, open cell, depower kite. Maybe another $50 in Dyneema and
Kiteblocks would have pushed them out of a pricepoint.

all points are true so-far.... the 2Cool is the bottom of the rung for FS kites... i've wanted to but never tried to mod a cool or 2cool... should be
super easy and a much better kite afterwards....
the FS open-cell kites im sure are the poorest selling kite FS has made.... IMO FS should stick to Closed Cell exclusively for kites, but then the
2Cool would basicially be near a Psycho3 minus the tip WAC and the jetflaps....
so far the only PROs for the 2Cool are : Warranty and FDS
