Hey,

Has anyone ever seen these before? Just curious on how they fly/flew.

Interesting- I don't think I have ever seen that before. It looks rather dated, what year do you suppose it was made?

the shape is quite flat for a LEI. seem like they tried to make a foil that you pump

I'm not sure what year, I'd take a guess at around 2000 - 2002?
Look at the throw on that depower bar! A whole like 3 and a half inches!:smilegrin:

the nexus was back in 2000, flexifoils first attempt at LEI kites. the only good size was the 5.6 to transport, since it had batten spars in the sail. it was one heavy kite, even with the flatter surface other kites like the Wipika Airblast would be flying first. I spent more time on the 8.6, but it was a pain to take around, the spars were big, the bag was bag, and you couldnt fold the kite in half. it was like windsurfing again. :)
one nice thing was it had instant water relaunch back than. dewpowering was a bit weird since you had 2 loops, one the depower loop and second the harness loop. i just took off the harness loop.
either way, its old, its the past ... that was kitesurfing trial and error.
