travel and kiting

I am travelling from Aus to Europe in June/July and can stop in Hawaii or Mexico or Belize or Cuba or Bermuda - or two of these. I am a beginner at the get on the board stage after a few lessons. Any suggestions where to go - i am looking for flat water, waste height with 15 knots of steady wind!!
Thanks for your time
Tim

If you're heading to Europe, you'll have plenty of opportunities for flat, shallow kitesurfing there (especially in The Nederlands).

I surfed a beach directly west of Rotterdam a couple years ago. When the tide was high, the bay was 3/4 mile across and consistantly 4-6 feet deep all the way. Flat and calm. Such is the way of most beaches in The Nederlands.

If you want a little wave action, head down to France. All the way from Normandy to Brittany (and beyond) you'll find long straight beaches.

Also many kitesurf hotspots in the south (Tarrifa Spain, Beauduc, France etc.) and fresh lakes in the mountains (Silvaplana Switzerland and others in Austria).

If you're looking, you wil find many opportunities to kitesurf in safe conditions. Some good schools too.
