PKD Combat 5m - Wow! :D
So I have it to test for the next little while.
Teh verdict - > Very nice!
It didn't seem too much like a big ribbon at first, when I opened it up in the morning (i had to catch the bus in literally 2 mins so i opened it up
and there she was. again. Very nice! Once I flew it though, I could really tell how much a ribbon it truly was!
I could only fly it for 35mins today, just got back home. Pretty much sub 10mph winds - once again Very Nice! It was quite strong and I could get
going on the ATB (not quite 40mph yet though Pablo!)
However, in the days to come I will test it to see its full potential. It looks like a wicked kite and can't wait. So far it looks pretty stable, very
fast turning, and looks awesome in the sky!
Pictures: (not the greatest quality - i was taking them with the camera in one hand, and both handles in the other.)

This one's touring Canada until the 5.5m Brooza either comes home or is sold off in the States. But yes, there will be a line up for it. I don't know
if it's going to get caught up in the christmas rush though. it may have to wait for the new year. I need the kites on hand for a little snowkiting
over christmas break.

360's are not that difficult to do if you have a high aspect ratio kite and are in light winds. Basically while the kite flies it produces apparent
wind (creates its own wind). The apparent wind is greater than the current wind you are flying in. The faster you fly the kite the more power it
will produce because of this apparent wind.
The average speed a person walks is 3 mph, you can run quite a bit faster up to 7-8 mph+ So, if you are flying in 2-3 mph winds then you can fly the
kite completely around in a full 360 as long as you are walking/running away from the kite as it passes the downwind area of your 360. Wind is
blowing a -3 mph, you are walking/running backwards at 5-6 mph, the kite still sees 2-3 mph wind on it plus the apparent wind = 360'. It wears you
out pretty quick but it is fun to do, especially if you have very light winds where the kite will barely fly.
Dean J. and myself were pulling 360's with a 5 meter Yakuza at the '07 NABX in nearly 0 wind. You had to keep the kite and yourself moving all the
time or it would just fall out of the sky.
Give it a try next time you find yourself waiting for some wind.

Ok, like the video of the Radsail in the gymnasium. That was zero wind but I can see how a very light wind would allow the same opportunity
especially if you had the momentum of the buggy to work with.

Well, easy enough with any clean shaped kite while static, but I'm impressed with the guy in the buggy, first time I've seen that

I've taken this kite out in nice winds the other day. I'll take it out again soon enough and I'll give you guys a more formal review within the days
come. I'd seriously consider this kite if you are are looking for a racektie style kite.
