Mini Wildwood Buggy Bash, Dec 8th

New Jersey Buggy Club is gathering again!!!

When: Dec 8th or/and 9th
Where: Wildwood Beach, NJ
Who: Anybody

We haven't decided the exact time and location yet. Still have our eyes on weather. Low tide is around 1 pm and temp close to 50F. Looks actually good! Waiting on the most important factor, wind.

Anybody interested in, drop me an email and I will keep you guys updated.

If you guys do get here this weekend,,, I think we should meet at 2nd street in North Wildwood.. As I said no matter what the wind direction,,, its a good spot.... and low tide is ideal..........

Can you guys post some video of your runs on Saturday? That way I could keep myself occupied as opposed to staring out the window and wondering how much fun I'd be having if it wasn't raining.

Any update considering the rain forcast? Should stop around noon, but just wanted to check. Winds look in 13mph WNW.

I saw the same thing in the forecast. Don @ kiteplace and I are commited. Unless we have unexpected snow storm, I will be there at around 11 am. NW wind is second best wind we can get and I don't want to miss it. - Brian

Outside of kitesurfing, this is the first time I got to fly with other kiters. Just realized that now. First time in a buggy turned out to be awesome. Wish there was more wind for us, but the weather was much better then the forecast.

Wow! 11mph easterly predicted for tomorrow, but rainy... I'm tempted, but I'd have to leave by 1...

Well for the report of Saturday..... The forcast, as Barnes said, was not looking too good,, predicted rain, cold etc. The only part of the weather report that was correct was the wind,,,, there wasn't much of that. However there were about seven of us with pleanty of kites and buggys and at least one landboard. We didn't get the chance to move around alot,, but there were moments of wind where the guys did get a short run. All in all it was a good day,,, it was nice as far as temp went, the sun was shinning and we got the chance to hang out together,,, it was well worth the meeting... I had a really good time,,, of course if the wind was there it would have been the perfect day but it was still good. Now some of the guys that weren't familiar with the location know where it is now and can get there when they want. We did get alot of static flying in which was fun. Today Sunday it doesn't look much better as far as wind yet,, its about 10am. We have to pick another weekend that is giving us a good report and do it again....

Well I hope you found a way to get in a run or two on Wednesday, Joe... you lucky b...each-based buggier :)

I'd much rather imagine Wildwood Beach being buggied than being buggy-barren.

Since you live so close to the sacred soil, I think you should open up a traction kite store called "Lucky Joe's Aerodyne Emporium"... Wait, no... "Lucky Joe's Kite Korral"... no..."Lucky Joe's Foil Farm".....?
Hrmm....still no...
"Lucky Joe's World of Wind".......

I know... How 'bout just "Lucky Joe's" ?

Never mind me... Been shoveling snow and ice for hours and am now both dehydrated and delirious.

Well I did take off from work tomorrow, Friday, supposed to be in mid 40s and 15 to 20mph winds looking like WNW and NW. The tide is not cooperating but what the hell... I think I may check on the delaware bay side,,, CApe May Point and Cape May area,,, only 10 minutes from where we were last week... I figure if the beach side is going to be an offshore wind,,, the bay side will be an onshore wind right? The delaware bay is pretty big so the wind coming across there should be clean I would think. I will let you guys know if we have another area to buggy. You never know "lucky Joes" sounds pretty good. Another 1 and half years I retire from the P.D. and maybe open up a shop........
