This is a great website,,,, really helped alot when learning to kite and buggy. Question>>> I have been trying to put on an avatar and everytime, no matter what picture I try to load,, it keeps telling me that it is too large,,,, what am I doing wrong? or could you tell me how to make sure the photo isn't too large?

Joe

open your picture with a paint tool such as Microsoft Office Picture Manager or mspaint, and resize it so it does not exceed the required size, save it under a new name and upload it again.

Just a suggestion - use a photo editor that allows you to set the total pixels, width 100, height 125. Keep the aspect ratio on, so nothing stretches. THen save the result to a new file, and check file size - has to be less than 8600k. May take a few trys - I played with the SYF about 6 times before it got right.

If you don't have an editor, you can find one on the web - HP has a fair one for free download.

If you\'re confused listen to the music play.......

Deadhead's answer is dead on. Couldn't have said it better.

The MAX dimensions are width 100, height 125... can be less. Many are 80x80.

I use Mac... no probs here. Keep in mind that the uploader does NOT resize the images. You must upload images that are the correct size (100w x 125h pixels or smaller - file size: 12k max).

Google's Picassa is free and will do the job of re-sizing. Use the "Export" function and set the size.
