Ace 3.5m Review

I finally got a kite out of the bag today. the winds were about 6-8mph with some gusts. I wasn't in the best location (trees and houses) so as I get it out again I will update.
first thing I will address is the handles are exactly the same no marks to quickly tell the left from right. An easy fix with a marker or tape. The lines are more than satisfactory now. I staked them out and they were equal length and come with stitched sleeving. Here again was a left and right issue. My other kites came with colored stiching for left and right. The Pansh had the powers the same color and the brakes the same. Again not a big deal just alittle different than I had in the past. They unrolled very smoothly and with just a couple twists I was ready to go. No big knots or tangles like others had stated in the past.
Once all hooked up the kite was stitting at attention just waiting to go. A little tug and it was flying. It flew right to zenith no problem, no adjustments necessary. Very little brake input needed to make it turn on a wing tip. I was having a blast with that. I don't know if it was my location or the kite but it was lufty at the edge of the window and it wanted to keep moving. When I tried to just sit it in the air it didn't like it. It constantly wanted to be moving. It moved fast and was snatchy. I would bring it across the window and if it hit a gust I was going for a ride.
I tried to use it in my buggy, but since it was my first sit in the buggy I couldn't stay in the buggy it just kept lifting me out. As i get more experience with the kite and the buggy I will update this.
So far I'm extremely happy with the kite and especially for the price. It had a ton more pull and lift than I expected for a 3.5m. It will definately be awhile before I pull out the 7m and 8m.

That's funny that the 3.5 is picking you up out of the buggy! You need a seat belt. All kidding aside, I imagine that the Ace would be for a more advanced buggier. Angus taught me to take the kite high when approaching the turn so with the Ace and any speed you would have lift. You need to try the big boys out just don't do it in the buggy till you are comfortable with how they fly.

Much better this time out. I had good 10-12 mph of clean wind. Had no luffing issues and I didn't have to keep it moving. I could just give alittle brake and it would hold right where I wanted it. The kite flew extremely well I was very satisfied. Sthrasher had a chance to try it, so hopefully he will add his input.

Looking forward to that Bob. And yes the Ace 3.5 was very impressive. I only got to fly for a few but the kite was very stable it held well at the edge of the window. What I was suprised at was it's speed. The little bugger was pretty fast thats a good thing. Well I will continue with my opinion later as my boss is looking over my shoulder and I need to go.
