happy wife, happy life

Winds were light enough to convince my wife to give the skis a try with a kite. She cruised some downwinders with a NPW9 3.4m - I got some good exercise bringing her back. Then late in the day it clicked and she was going across the wind and made it back from where she started. It won't be difficult to convince her that I "need" to go out to the lake to go kiting anymore.

Don't worry, it actually only tires her out and then she won't do other things.

lol. Although, yea, serisouly. Tis pretty cool. Hopefully she'll start to realize that you need more kites and will start letting you buy tons!

My wife has been kiting with me right from the start. She is the driving force behind our windsurfing. We always go out together and have a lot of fun. It is nice because you always have someone to go with. She is actually better than me at both kite skiing and windsurfing.
It is good to see that your wife is enjoying snow kiting. Make sure you let her try a harness and a good depower kite soon.

Have a good day,
George

Well the wife is 6 months pregnant and still wants to kite...
Attached is a pic of her cruising with a 2.5m Jojo instinct. She was conservative and the 1.5 first - not enough power to stay upwind easily. The funny part was seeing some cannon beach sand come out onto the snow. The last time she used the 1.5 was in the buggy at Cannon Beach.

It's highly unlikely that I'll make it up there. A 6 hour drive is hard to justify when there are great conditions within 30 minutes of town.
