Sometimes in light winds, I wanna grab my PL buggy or a LIbre V2A/V-max II for races.

ON the other hand I wanna grab one of Ellis's super trucks all pimped out.

Does anyone agree that smaller lighter buggies like PL XR+ might have an advantage over bigger buggies in light winds?

Well, a small buggy seemed to work well for Jeff Howard... that and a smaller foil for a given wind speed. Kinda like the RM+ philosophy?

Hmmm, its a close one Eli, smaller buggy less resistance, bigger buggy bigger kite to compensate, but I would guess the lighter buggy with as bigger kite as you can use to keep forward momentum

Big buggy all the way for speed, so much more momentum to carry you through the corners,

For small parks and general fun, small kite and buggy, you hit max speed way quicker

having a smaller lighter buggy in light winds gives you more advantage.

Dirtslide and myself were both on the same 7.8m kite and both using same PL XR+ and me being 100lbs lighter I was faster.

IMO, shed the buggy weight, add big kite for light winds and full race w/ ballast and smaller kite for high winds.

Whats about small buggy in big winds.......

My rockville is smaller than everyones I fly with. And I seem to always be going faster. But in strong wind it's just slide slide slide. It seem like its harder to just ride because your alway just trying to keep in control.It is going to vary with experience I would assume But Imo I think you can go faster with a smaller buggy.

Yep, lighter winds and small beach, I take out the lighter PL Comp XR+ - faster to accelerate, less momentum to stop.
Better wind and on-shore for a fully lit ride, and I take the heavier wide-axle Flexi- holds down more kite, less side slip and feels more solid going faster, esp on bumps and washboard ripples.
