Smaller kite for buggying help ?

Hello to all.
I am looking for a smaller power kite to use for buggying when the wind gets up.
I have a 6m and a 4m in my bag, but am thinking of something around 2.5m. We get some pretty strong winds here on the coast (north west England) and it seams a shame to waste them.
Can someone recomend the best kite for the job, also the ones to avoid would be appreciated
Thanks
Mongo

It depends on your style or riding.
Do you want a racing kite or a more stable kite?

if you want a racing kite, some good examples, that I have heard good reviews of are: ozone yakuza or PKD combat.

if you want a stable kite, some good examples, that I have heard good reviews of are: HQ Beamer, Ozone Samurai2, etc.

Pablo can correct me if I am wrong but I think the PKD Brooza falls kind of inbetween stability and race which may be a good choice.

It's all about preference, it would be good to get out and give some of these a try if you have a local kiting community.

Kites: BusterI(1.4m), Profoil(1.5m), Flow(2.0m), flow(3.0m) RM+(4.0m), BladeII (4.9m), Razor(5.5m), Frenzy \'07(10m), Yakuza(14m)
Wheels: GI Patrol 106, Libre Fullrace w/BFLs

The 2m Brooza is a super nice high-wind buggy kite and probably the best small kite I've flown so far. IMHO- for high winds it's nice to have something a bit more stable- small kites tend to be faster and snatchier anyways.

Good luck!

I've hear the smaller HQ Crossfires are very good in high winds and surprisingly stable and not very snatchy.

I'll second Archkiter on the Brooza 2 meter to fill out your quiver. Best fixed-bridle, gusty wind buggy kite I've flown. Medium aspect. Turns quick, doesn't overfly the window, but still points high. Recovers quickly in gusts without falling too far back in the window and exploding with power. The small vents help it maintain shape in lulls. Impeccable construction and detailing, with minimal bridles (lots of d-ribs).

My 8 year old son is learning to fly 4-line and ski behind a 2 and 3 this year. They rock.

What about a flexifoil Rage 2.5. Handled well in the gusts and was very stable. Very effective at the edge of the wind. An Acid colored one sold on ebay (new including lines and handles) for $155.00!

Judging from what I have flown the 2m Brooza may be a better choice than a 3 for nukin' winds. :duh: I'm only about 150lbs but I'm finding that my 3m Brooza can sometimes be too much for me. A tad lifty + it's a lot worse when you are in motion and a gust hits :ticking:
The limited openings really do the job and it's a great kite built to handle the junky high winds .
Sami also gets a

Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.
Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.
Flysurfer : 19m Speed 2 SA, 7m Pulse
Peter Lynn :18m Phantom, 15m Synergy, 10m Synergy, 1200 Farc, 460 Sarc, 130 Tarc, 5m Peel, 4.2m , 6.4, 8.5 C-Quads, 3.5 LS2 single skin.

Rides: Flexi / P.L. Frankin'Buggy , Shaped + straight skiis, sand skis, Coyote blades. Core 95 ATB. RKB R2 ATB .

PANSH!!!!! YAY!!!!! Actually from what I hear the 2m ace is a great kite. Or for the buggy maybe the legend.

I wonder about Pansh as a high wind weapon ? Has anyone got one they use for that singular purpose ? What model ? Does it punch through the gusts or snap at you ? Is it holding up without damage or stretching ?

Everything on my Ace has held up fine but that thing does everything but eat gusts. The Legend would be a far better buggy kite, less lift and wouldn't tear you out of the buggy in a gust.
