first day on a rockeville
OK !!! Jest as expected !!!
A. I need a lot of practice with the buggy.
B. rockville seats still suck
Rockville buggy arrived yesterday assembled it in no time and with the extra emails from the seller got the seat installed correctly I THINK.:puzzled:
Today it ran strait fine but when I tried a down wend turn the right rear buckle blew out. The stitches held so I shall cum up with a fix for the
buckles.
hear are some pics
right out of the box i replaced the wood back board with a metal

Hi SEK,
I got the exact same buggy a while back. My buckles also broke, but in multiple places. I got a PL XR+ buggy seat on the way that I'm hoping will fit
and eliminate that problem.
Another thing to watch out for is the front wheel coming undone. I also had to get new screws for the front feet pegs so I could tighten them down so
they wouldn't move.
Other than that, it's a good buggy for the price.
Now I just have to save some money for a Libre!

i had a 3.5 hour session on my new kite trike last friday in 20mph winds with a venom 13. no problems with the buggy at all. i see from the pics
that all the load in the straps is transferred directly to the buckles. take a wrap or two around the frame before going through the buckle and it
won't break. also, it looks like your seat is too far back making you lean way back. if the pics are correct, you might want to move the seat
forward.

I didn't think to run that strap down the center like that. I'll give it a go! I also replaced the wood back support with aluminum after it broke
the first time I tried leaning back in the seat.
After the buckles and a strap blew out on my seat, I'm now using some cargo tie-down straps to support my seat...at least until I can buy a better
one.

Yea good Idea for the center strap thanks for the pic. I am going to try that It will help for support under the seat. The seats do have issues. But
its good for the buck. Ih and my pegs are the lethal ones.

For the pegs, just find someone who has a bench grinder and grind them down just above the square holes. Only takes a couple minutes on each peg and
makes them much safer.
For the seat, if you know someone who has a sewing machine. Get some strong polyester thread and run a bunch of stitches over each of the seams,
specifically the ones on the bottom back corners of the seat, up the seat back and towards the front of the seat. This will reinforce the seat a ton
and should fix any tearing out problems. Run both of the super long straps underneath the seat...like the picture above from the rear axle to the
front and the other long strap runs underneath the seat from one side rail to the other. Also, the straps on the sides can be tightened to help with
the back support so you don't lean back when riding. Much more comfy ride.
We replace the thin 1/4" plywood in the back with some good quality 9 ply 1/2" plywood. You can usually get a piece of scrap from home depot or other
wood shop for nothing or next to nothing that will fit.
Hope this helps.
