Which kite to buy

Hi there,

I'm wanting to start power kiting so am looking at getting an entry level kite. Are Kites like the Radsial 2.4 metre that I see on Ebay a good starting point? They're on there for £70 but have no idea what to look for. WOuld anyone with a bit of kiting experience mind giving me a bit of advice.

Cheers!

Will

ps, I'm 27 and weigh about 10 - 11 stone. And what's the difference between a two line and four line kite?

I recently got hooked on power kiting aswell after having a go on a friends 3 meter one. I went for a 3sqm Radsail on eBay for £89.99 which came with a free 1.45m stacker kite. The bigger one is great fun to learn on and is not too powerfull so you can still control it!

Which kite to buy

If you can afford it, buy a Flexi Blade 111 or a Bullet. I don't know how old or how heavy you are. I'm 12 stone and my first real kite was a Blade 4.9. What a kite! First time you take a kite like that out, make sure you do it when there is chuff all wind! Otherwise you will s**t yourself. You will never need to upgrade a kite like this, but treat it with great respect until you get the hang of things. Read up on the "wind window" and learn where in the wind you should launch and fly your kite. That applies to any power kite!

I believe it is just flying the kite without being attached to a board etc... Like you would with a stunt kite... :-)
