Sacramento, CA - Double Soccer Field

This weekend I was driving around and checking out some new places to buggy. I came across a couple of soccer fields side by side. The place is called Granite Park and its off of Power Inn which is off Hwy 50. There is also a cool dog park next door to let your four legged friend burn off some energy.

I drove by the parking lot at the end of 28th. Looks like a nice place to cruise around. There were a handful of guys out there with remote control planes today. I guess you just have to get there first.

Welcome and thanks for sharing. the parking lot works out good because when the wind picks up the planes don't fly and we do
Are the soccer fields you are talking about behind the state equalization builing , by the park with the little lake and fountain? If so art lessing already got kicked out of there and thats how he found the parking lot.

It is behind the Family Court Services building at 3300 Power Inn Rd, Sacramento, CA. There are two soccer fields side by side, then an astro turf field, skate park, and dog park.

It would be a shame to be kicked off some nice unused grass!

Dan, Are you or Doug going to NABX? Last time dlish and I were at the parking lot it was a lake. We find oruselves going from sod to asphalt. If there is no wind at one it seems there is at the other.

I unfortunately can't make it to nabx...I really want to but I have other things going on...bummed...but you know we should all watch the weather later on in the year and make a norhtern california buggy excursion to white lake nevada...which is about 15 min north of reno..its the dry lake bed that has a circle k on one end and plenty of space to buggy around at any speed with no fear on turning around till you car turns into a speck in the distance...plus

for the winter which I plan on doing the second the wind picks up

we got skis from a thrift store and snow gear from e-bay for cheap
