Sunset beach today ?

So .... I find myself standing alone on Sunset beach today trying hard to maintain enough flyspace to static fly and thinking ....... I wonder how the lucky folks are doing on Sunset beach today. :duh: The one that is 6 hours south that is. :( You know, the one with everyone meeting from NAPKRA .

Ohhhhh, the irony is not lost on me. :flaming:

We did have a race clinic and some practice runs yesterday. Today was all east winds so we moved over to Seaside like Eli said. I tell ya what, it was the sweetest east winds I have ever flown in and the beach there right no is gigantic. Got some good riding in and also some buggy lessons. Another very excellent day. Sure hope we saved some for your next visit. See ya then.

Hopefully there will be some pics posted soon.

Awesome two days! Yesterday was mellow and sweet at Sunset and today was my first time riding at Seaside. Wind was from the east today but surprisingly quite smooth. I got a couple of fast runs in (well, fast for me anyway) toady and several hours of buggy fun. I spent all of my time buggying I didn't get a chance to take any pics. Aaron was taking some video both days- so hopefully I'll have that edited and posted later this week!

Wish you could have made it- hopefully you make it down here soon. :)

ok.....west winds 10-12mph. Low tide right this second. And I'm at work. Sunset-Jims probably eating it up on Sunset. Seaside's is working perfectly. Discoverparagliding is out there soaring the dunes!

Go Napkra!

I did a thurough inspection of 18th ave today after yesterdays Napkra session....I saw Sunset-Jim tracks, Bison tracks, and Archkiter tracks.

Nice work you guys....the scuddlers too! I noticed some buggy lesson tracks too, looked like it went well...

Nice job Aaron and Stacey.... Liked the bloopers there at then end too. It's a shame though Aaron that you didn't get some of when Stacey was going Uhh, beyond her comfort zone... :spin:

Would have loved to see the look on her face....:wow::wow::wow:

LOL- I would have liked to have seen that look on my face too  Going that fast wasn't the scary part- it was when I realized that if I didn't slow down and turn around I'd probably run into a log or two with where I was headed :o I wonder at what point the panic showed on my face!

...why does he wind always pick up after the camera man leaves? ;)

Thanks! It may not be this year as I have plans to kite in Eastern Canada on Atlantic beaches at that time, but 2009 is a good possibility.

Yep, I flew a 3m Little Devil on Saturday and the Bego on Sunday. Sunset-Jim is flying the JoJo's in the video, there are a couple of other flyers in the vid too.

What a teaser last weekend was- I'm ready to go for summer now! :singing:

It can be quite a drop in income, moving from a big city to small town. I had to change the budget quite a bit and learn to live cheaper. Worked several crappy jobs and then got hired as a graphics artist at the local weekly newspaper, now I'm at a Daily and feel I have decent job security.

Made the move and was determined to make it. Opportunities came in time.
