Help, Advice
Hi I am a 17/nearly 18 year old (female) and am strong for my age/gender, a few friends and I, would like to know what size of kite to start off with,
I dont necessarily want to start using a board straight away and would just like something that will get me a bit off the ground on foot, most of us
weigh from 11-12stone, I have used a relative's kite before I think it may have been 3 or 5 metre and do have the basic idea of how to use it. Im not
really interested in the make because it would just be used for a bit of fun.

Pansh Ace sounds like your kind of kite. Its cheap, lifty, yet safe enough to learn on. 3 meter should be perfect.
Kites: 16m PL Scorpion, 9m & 14m 06 Best Waroo
Vehicles: Thrift store snowboard, fraken-ATB, Old Litewave water board.

Welcome. This seems to be the week for new girls in the sport
If you and your friends aren't familiar with how to set up a kite and will be figuring things out on your own you may want to pass on pansh for now.
The kites are good enough but it doesn't come with a lot of things that make starting out easy. The lines aren't always the right lenght + are not of
the best quality, It doesn't come with safety leashes and the handles are sub par. All meaning more $$
HQ make a great set-up with the Beamer III and the Scout. It cost a a bit more but is still a very competitive price. The Beamer 3 comes on handles
the Scout on a bar. They come in a quality back pack ready to fly. Included are Safety leashes, a ground stake, a DVD on how to , good handles / bar +
lines you woun't have to throw away. HQ is about as good as it gets for beginers packages IMHO.
NO, I'm not affiliated !

Peter Lynn also makes a good line of kites as well ... complete with handles or bar and lines. There are a lot of kites to choose from on the market
nowadays. Since youre in the UK look up Flexifoil or Ozone.
Learning: 1m to 3m kite

With the introduction of the Scout it may be a good time to shop for a TSR. It is now " last years model " and will become cheaper.

Actually, being from the UK originally i was quite pleased moving to america to find kites up to half the price they are in england, even ones
manufactured by english companies like flexifoil are marginally cheaper here in america because of the weakness of the dollar!

Congrat's,
Blades are great kites. Be VERY careful at 1st. The Blades are #1 when it come to lift. Simply DON'T fly it in strong winds until you are it's master.
Also be careful when it is sitting overhead. Due to it's great lift it WILL at some point " loft " you when a gust hits. Be ready for it. Keep plenty
of room downwind and don't hesitate to let go.
If you respect this kite you will love it. Take it's potential power for granted and it can be a weapon of distruction ! :tumble:
