I'm a newbie, and I would love to have access to a map of the location of members. That way, we could see who might be close enough to us to meet up, learn and fly together.

You could let any member opt out, if they wished to do so. It's just great to have a quick visual of where our members are located throughout the states, and the world.

Another possible item, if not the map, is a calculation of the distance a member is from you. One forum I'm on does this. Not as good as a map, but somewhat of interest.

Great idea! There is no map mod available at the moment for this forum script, but I will keep an eye open. Thanks for the suggestion.
