might know Tony J. Maninha of Bestkites.com,
in Newman, California

he has become, to me, completely
un-reachable
and I am afraid that his on-line store
is Out of Buisiness?
he Has amnesia? worse?


any help would be a huge help

How, did you pay him? If it was anything other than pay pal you are going to have to contact the better business bureau and file a complaint about him. They will help you contact him and get him to give your money back. If you did pay through pay pal file a claim with them!

About a year ago i got the full runaround from that Tony guy.It took an act of congress to get my HQ bar. I had to sic PayPal on him , they turned the heat up, and after 2months l got my stuff. Shop Powerzone , Johns the man!!!

I'm not a lawyer....thank goodness but, I think I heard somewhere, "it's hard to squeeze blood out of a turnip".....seems it's also "hard to squeeze money out of a RAT!" This guy needs to come on here, be honest for a change, and tell his story....if he has one. Sounds like the history of the same rotten treatment of his customers is too long to have a story....seems to shed a light on his character. What a shame.

Such a good positive sport and bunch of folks involved. We don't need this sort of stuff in this arena. At least, maybe, we've seen the last of him.

I just sent an email to info@bestkites.com in spirit of defending our community and hassling bad sellers. I would encourage everyone that has a moment to send him a mail suggesting that he make things right.

I would also suggest to do it nicely so someone burned by him has a better chance of getting a refund or equipment.

I think you were looking to say bureau, crappy little word! The BBB should try and help you resolve your issue with tony. To take your money with no real intention of giving you something, what a dick! I also followed dylanj423 and wrote a nice email ( not mean! ) to tony that he was catching a lot of crap and that people would talk nicer about him if he would just respond to them...

The internet is a sketchy place to buy and sell kites.

If you don't have a local shop there is a list of good sellers on this forum . Both for new and used gear. Folks that have shops NEED our support. They have overhead and too much competition. At least buy from folks you can check out through the community.

It was a totally new thing
the amount of air I reached with a fixed bridle

my last best fixed bridle is either a 4.something
Quadrifoil XL Kitesurfer kite
or a six meter Advance IO
(so well used B-4 I got it)

everything else for land is Frenzied
