Rag flapper info needed
Hey guys, I just picked up a new NPW5 4.8 on Ebay for $95.00. Not realy sure if that's a good deal or not but I have been teaching alot of friends to
fly lately and thought it would make a good trainer on shorter lines. I have Little Devils and Peppers from 2meter to 5meter and wondered how this
will compare in power and handling compared to the foils. I think it will make a good parking lot surfer as well with the long board. What do you
think?

For parking lots it is better than the foils imo You dont have to use as much line if any at all. its harder to tear up if you crash or it gets
dragged on the ground. And if the wind is flat enough you can get just as much power out of them. My son loves to rollerblade in parking lots with
his!

Nasa wings can be flown on any lenght line or no lines at all just attach the bridle lines to the handles. Using short lines in parking lots gives
you another place to play. Just remember that nasa wings like tension on the brake lines which is just the opposite of foils. Just move your hands
down the handles some.

Flexi makes 5m line sets meant to be extensions and they would be good for the parking lot perhaps

I guess I should get and make a few more NPW's. Currently only got the one 7m that I made about 5 years ago. Guess a small one would be ideal for
ballistic winds!

Davinch got an Npw? It must be for Nabx. I have fun with mine. let us know how it goes and what you think of it. And Dlish is a good guy. My kiting
buddy. But if he could fly half as good as he sells kites he would be the Master. You better up the price a little so we can get more time in the
seat.:frog:

Unfortunately no NABX for me Sthrasher.
I'm planning on using the NPW on short (or no) lines with the Dirtsurfer & longboard skateboard.
I have flown it several times so far and I'm hooked on the simplicity. I'm looking for 15m NPW9 now for the light wind days

Lots' o NPW's here at NABX. Forgot to bring mine. When we are all standing around, scattered accross the lakebed with kites fallen like limp noodles
waiting for the wind to pick-up, the NPW's weave between us, ghosting along. Esp, AJ with his 15 meter which flys on a mosquito phart.

What do you do with your foils?
Charger 8, 12, 19
Scorpion 10, 16
And other foils...
Flexifoil Bug, CrazyFly board, MBS atb

dman,
I couldn't find many NOS NPW9s online. However, used and custom versions are an option.

I got my 4.9 the other day and it's been fun. We also ordered one for a friend whom I have infected with the kite virus and he is having a ball with
it. they fly totally different than a foil but have a challenging quality that seem to pay off with attention. i want to get into building a few big
ones and the plans don't look to difficult but I have so much going on right now that if I start another project I may aswell get a new family to put
up with it.
