Land Board Question
Hey Guys So I finally got a good hold of my Montana II and pretty confident with it in 20mph winds. Now I want to get into the Board. damm they are
expensive. I looked on Ebay and find either mostly hacks or just too expensive. I read many posts here where people drop $300 plus and then find out
that ithey not cut out for them and they'd rather buggy. basically if anyone has any info or guide me on where i can find a cheap board to practice
on,used or new and see if the board is for me. really don't want to spend more than $150-$200. Thanks in Advance!!

I managed to score a used MBS Blade ATB off eBay for just over $120. It came today and I must say, I'm intimidated but ready and willing. Keep an eye
on eBay - I'm sure you'll find one. Search this forum for Doomwheels as well - a Rollerblade alternative that you might be keen on, or Rollerblade
Coyotes. I'm watching eBay for those but they don't tend to go cheap (more than the ATB).

This is the board I picked up for learning on as well.
I ended up getting my Coyotes on this forum brfore they came up on Ebay. You should post a wanted add here + racekites + foilzone !
I found this to be the most learner friendly board around these parts. It is bigger over all. Larger wheels, a larger deck and much heavier than
others. The wider footprint and extra weight make it much harder for me to go flying over the front I got going pretty much straight off on this one when I had been struggling with board skills for a few years. I think I am the 4th owner of this board in town.
You will want to sell it eventually although I've had mine for 1 season and I'll need it for another. It should re-sell for the same $150 ? I paid
$200 for mine. Tell me you paid $50 in shipping and duties PLeeeeease :duh:

Just for the record, that board is a ProFlight 93 and not a Flight Light as advertised. Its a nice board and its what I ride but the Flight Light is
a composite deck and the proflight is maple.

I had kite land boarded a little using borrowed boards at the beach and managed to stay upright on the board while struggling with the kite. Buggying
is a lot easier and satisfying. There are couple of reasons why I didn't opt for a buggy: 1. transportation; 2. too close to the ground and risk of
flying sand and pebbles hitting you. Although, it never happened to me but why take a chance.
I hadn't mountain boarded before so didn't know what to get or how to go about doing anything with a mountain board. Initially I was looking for a
used and cheap board due to budget. I eventually decided on a new GI Flight Light 100. The wait was long and painful.
My board arrived a few months ago but I was too busy to do anything with it. Lately, I have had a few opportunities to take the board out to a local
hill for down hill runs and let me tell you, ITS AWESOME!!!! It's as thrilling as skiing ( I have snowboarded only once) except for snow, chairlifts.
Another difference is that I have to carry a 14 lbs board up the hill after every run.
Have fun with the board! If you are not kiting, take it to a hill for some downhill runs. Wear your safeties -- pads, helmet, etc. It's a lot of fun.

I got my board, got helmet and bunch of pads, only used the board twice so far, wind was a little low, and i was so nervous the tires had almost no
air so i moved at a snail pace. I think the 80yr old man walking was going faster than me, last monday. And he had a walker. HAHAHA this week as of
right now winds are max 10mph , so practice might have to wait another week.
