Introducing the new Ivanpah Buggy
Well, the prototypes are done and ready to be loaded for the trip down to NABX. We should be on the playa by the time you read this post. We will be
getting some better shots of the buggy's in action for all of you and hopefully some riders reviews on the bugs. Here are a couple shots of the
buggies in front of our shop ready to be loaded up.
Special thanks to Popeye The Welder for all his inspiration and constant e-mails on the build. Another special thanks to Buggy Bags for doing an
awesome job on the seats, splash guards, rail pads and bags.
Hope you all like them and better yet, hope you all get a chance to run them across the playa!!!!

I got word back from Dlish today, that these are the "real deal"!!! And all he saw was the Proto's.
Hey awindofchange I'd love to get the price for one of these buggers. I'm in the market for a Bug, I'm not sure these are available yet.

Kent,
Very nice setup, and is very comfortable. I just wish I had a chance to ride it out at NABX. But the wind kinda' sucked as you know
and when the wind blew, someone was on it. Oh well, at least I had a chance to sit in it and take a good look. And it looks great.
And from what I heard from people that rode it, they liked it. See you at the park.

Same thing happend to me! I did get to sit in one though. Very nice. I really liked the wide flat foot rests it felt great for support on the feet.
The round foot pegs just get un comfortable after awhile.

We had an awesome time, going to head back out again and go for that high speed record.
All 3 of the prototypes were out most of the weekend, there were times I couldn't even get one for myself. Everyone who had a go on them came back
with a huge grin and nothing but positive things to say about them. The seats are awesome and very comfortable, I still am amazed at how good they
came out. We got some great pictures of them and should have a lot more info on them in the next week or so.
Ian, shouldn't be a problem getting you out on one, if you are heading out anytime soon just swing by the shop and pick one up. Same goes for pretty
much anyone else that happens to be in the area and heading down to Ivanpah. Just let me know if you want to test drive one and we can work it out.
Right now we are down to one prototype left but are putting plans together to build a couple of full production models and also bring out a chrome
molly version that is powder coated which should be a lot more affordable over the polished stainless version.
Here is another picture of the bug mid morning out on the playa. Hope ya like it.

Screwy, I sent you a U2U also. The only bug's we have right now are the proto's, we're hoping to go into full production in the next few months. We
only have one proto left and a couple of people are sounding pretty serious about it.
We should be able to get everyone some real retail pricing on the buggies once we get the production models on their way.
Thanks for the kind words, if you didn't get the chance to ride or see them at NABX then you really missed out. I don't want to boast to much but I
have to say that they were the hottest looking buggies on the playa! (IMO)

The design is a cooperative effort between myself and close friends that we buggy with and continuous talks and input from Popeye and his designs.
Popeye's awesome buggy designs are the basic foundation for the Ivanpah buggy. The Proto buggies are built 100% in the USA and are made from T304
& T316 Stainless tube and plate. The front AND rear axles are indeed 20mm, not 12. Anyone who would like more info on the construction of the
buggy just ask.
The proto's are being listed at $1995.00 plus shipping and at this time we only have one proto left. We are also considering building a couple of the
exact buggies out of Chrome Molly with powder coating which should bring the cost of the buggy down quite a bit from the stainless. We will let you
know more as the first one nears completion.
