North Carolina anyone?
Just wondering if any of you kite jump in the carolinas. I make frequent trips to Wilmington, NC and Wrightsville Beach. Also go to Emerald Isle,
Nags Head, Va. Beach... doesn't really matter. Whenever I go to the beach, I see people flying stunt kites, and a few kiteboarders. Watching those
guys/girls in the water is amazing, but just looking for some people who keep it on the land and still love to fly.

There's a small group of land kiters who meet most Sundays at Fort Macon Beach. Every once in a while someone will show up with a buggy or landboard.
AFAIK, they only meet during the off season as Fort Macon becomes a zoo during the summer.

You ever head out there? Looking for some new kiters to meet up with. I'm about 2 hours from the beach. Whenever I tell people around here that I
fly kites, they think 9.99 walmart plastics. Basically, nobody around here kitejumps, landboards, etc. I love it when I'm kitejumping out in a
grassy field though, and people stop on the highway to watch. Nobody cares to join though. They think I'm stupid for spending 500+ dollars for a
kite. I beg to differ. Its a passion.

I went there a couple of times over the winter. There's a traction kite shop here in Atlantic Beach (can't remember the name) near Food Lion. The
owner's name is Don and he stocks HQ's, MTB and has a buggy or two. I landboarded a couple times over the winter, but now that the water has warmed
up I'm pretty much only kitesurfing. There'll be at least one or two kiters there on any given Sunday as long as there's wind.

I didn't know there was a kite shop there. Will have to check that out when I'm around that way.
Silvereagle... had I known sooner, I would have tried to get up with you all just a lil over a week ago. I was in Norfolk from the 4th until the 9th
of this month. I have family that lives off of tidewater drive, and my cousin just got his own place off of Little Creek Road or Drive... whichever
it is. I'm sure you are familiar with the area. The weather was crappy though. Still went to Va. Beach and flew in the misty rain. I will
probably be making another trip within the next 2 months so I'll send you a message.
