Im still a bit new on the board but this is how it works for me.
Power is your friend and a big canopy to lean against is a good thing !
Keep your body low and lean back.
Up on your toes and down on your butt. Meaning when the kite is flying up you can move to weight on toes and move downwind. When the kite is moving
down lean back on your butt.
Start with the board pointing downwind. How much is sort of dependent on the wind. Almost straight downwind if underpowered and just a bit downwind if
powered. If you want to go right. Start with the kite at zenith. Rock it just a bit to the left and then start flying it to the right. How far you dip
the kite into the power depends on the wind again. Make that 1st dip and then fly the kite back up starting a sine wave ~ with the kite. DON"T fly the
kite all the way over to the edge of the window on that 1st pump start flying it up so you can go down again before it hits the edge . With that 1st
pump of power get the board moving and start turning it to a cross wind direction as the kite is heading up. KEEP TENSION ON THE LINES by not
traveling downwind too far too fast. If all is good you will be traveling cross wind and leaning back as the kite comes down again then you can ride
that power to the edge and find the sweet spot to lock in. :tumble: If not continue to sine the kite.
I hope that makes sense ! :duh:
