what size next

i have a 3m raidsail at the moment and have been flying it a few times but am looking at getting eithar a buggy or a board and a new kite. What would you recomend firstly in size of kite, and secondly a buggy or board

i also want a kite that i will be able to jump with for the days when a buggy or board is just not possible... so i know i need around the 5M range but would u recomend bigger? and are there any specific kites out there that you would recomend

You are right that the 5m would be the correct next size for you. I have enjoyed my Crossfire and of course the Blade IV. Both have lifty reputations. The Blade and the soon to be released Crossfire II have adjustable bridles to reduce or enhance the lift, making them quite versatile. The low lift settings also reduce the bang of a gust hitting you, spreading the conditions you can fly a kite in.

do you like speed or air time?

standing or sitting?

dunno, buy both ... j/k

demo everything you can. reviews are nice for reference but first hand testing is so much better.

where are you located ? There may be some close to you and I'm sure they would probably let you try their board or buggy.

surrey in the UK there are no clubs locally but there are a few places where you can meet a lot of friendly people ... the flexfoil forum has been a great help in finding places to fly on that front

flexi and racekites forums should allow you to meet, greet, and fly many different kites, boards, and bugs...............I believe there is a big meet (Atmos 08) May 17th thru 18th. Check into that prior as you may require insurance and a pre event ticket to fly. Folks on racekites can help you with that. Size wise, 5 to 8 meters for your next kite (fixed bridle). Remember summer winds are coming as well. List of probables: Crossfire/Crossfire 2, Blade, U Turns, PKD (Brooza is a sweet buggy engine), Ozeeonee (Samis are sweet/watch out for the Hakas:thumbdown:, or you could cover two kites with ah depower, PL Venom, Ozone Access/Frenzy, Montana 3, Sabre 2, Flysufer Pulse or Psychos, Air Evolution.......................

Buggy or board.

Boards are easy to move + store + no setup. Good air and good fun in small parks.

Buggys are bigger, need assembly or at least taken off the roof racks. More fun in larger areas. Just a little easier to learn. Not much air but lots of speed.

Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.
Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.
Flysurfer : 19m Speed 2 SA, 7m Pulse
Peter Lynn :18m Phantom, 15m Synergy, 10m Synergy, 1200 Farc, 460 Sarc, 130 Tarc, 5m Peel, 4.2m , 6.4, 8.5 C-Quads, 3.5 LS2 single skin.

Rides: Flexi / P.L. Frankin'Buggy , Shaped + straight skiis, sand skis, Coyote blades. Core 95 ATB. RKB R2 ATB .

Just alittle warning about racekites. I don't use it much, but I heard they had/have a virus and it got wiped clean. I'm not sure if its up and running again. I'm staying away till I hear it good to go.

Racekites is clean and green. They got hit twice but all is good. Powerkites could get hit just as easily.

I am not into jumping, but I am pretty sure if your kite is not pulling you in a buggy, it is not going to pull you very far into the sky.
