Gear in Maui ?
I have a friend who is heading home via Hawaii. He will be hitting Maui next. He lucked out and got to borrow a kite in Kialua by launching landing
and begging :cool2:
Any tips on how to rent / demo / beg / borrow a kite in Maui ?
How can one Demo a Lou Wainman kite ???
Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.
Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.
Flysurfer : 19m Speed 2 SA, 7m Pulse
Peter Lynn :18m Phantom, 15m Synergy, 10m Synergy, 1200 Farc, 460 Sarc, 130 Tarc, 5m Peel, 4.2m , 6.4, 8.5 C-Quads, 3.5 LS2 single skin.
Rides: Flexi / P.L. Frankin'Buggy , Shaped + straight skiis, sand skis, Coyote blades. Core 95 ATB. RKB R2 ATB .

He'll probably have to do the same on Maui that he did on Oahu. Nobody will rent you a kite, and most dealers will only give demos to customers they
know or have dealt with before. Why doesn't he just pick up a cheap, used kite on Oahu, then sell it when he leaves Maui? He sure won't need a big
kite on Maui (biggest people fly there are 9 and 10m).

I have no idea. I would guess the best way to demo one of these would be to contact Lou before he arrives on Maui and set something up in advance, at
least that's what I would do.

I'm actually hoping someone has an opinion or some hands on with these kites ! A demo is a bit much to wish for .
Lou has always done his thing HIS way. I expect his kites to be unique ?
