07/08 speed ranking

Stormboarding has posted the final snowkiting speeds for 2008. 70mph was the fastest! If you scroll down on the page you can read a bit about the conditions and the runs the guy had.

Hey Joe (DaVinch), Congrats on the Week 1 and Week 9 wins! That is some serious speed.

Good to see New Hampshire so well represented as well. I don't know if Chris Krug ever browses this forum, but that guy has about half of the weekly wins on the list. Very impressive.

Thanks!

My goal for next year is 60 mph

That 70 mph run is insane :o

I've hit 62 on my skis downhill, and that is scary enough, throwing a kite into the mix, one wrong move with the kite and your dead. :o

I'm already thinking about Snow!

Looks like there is a new Drift Snowkite Magazine out: http://www.driftsnowkitemag.com/drift/index.php

hehehehe.....I thought I was the only one. I've been watching longingly for the Snowkiting thread to get some activity - heart skipped a beat when I saw you had posted. Perhaps I'm losing faith in the hope that I'll be making waves this summer......I'll be snowkiting before we hit Oahu......

I was thinking it would be a good time to get a deal on some new Twin Tips

I used a set of old school slalom skis last season...

I picked up a sweet pair of salomon twin tips at the end of the season via ebay (elvis the ski man) - didn't get a chance to use them,... but looking forward to the winter.

It won't be windy enough to windsurf this weekend, so I'm going to go in search of a dry lake that is about 50 km away that I spotted on google earth....

DaVinch...what length you looking for? Neighbor had a garage sale and I grabbed two set old school style. I'll probably stick to my Kastles. I can check the lengths tomorrow.
