Massasuchets/New Hampshire

Dont know yet where I will go week of august 11th for vacation, but Cape Cod, and Hampton Beach area are ideas my wife is willing to go.

So any kitesurf is possible there during peak vacations while full of tourists like me !!

some ideas ?

Google on it, and I have Nantucket, Dennis Beach, Seabrook Beach
Does it make sense?

Seabrook, NH (the next town over from hampton) allows kietboarding. It is forbidden in Hampton itself starting this weekend through the end of summer.

Seabrook was the former home of Powerline Sports and it remains a hub of kitesurfers but they are protective of their turf has they've had problems witht he local a-hole windsurfer store and they mainly kite in an inlet which is tight - no newbies are allowed there and they self regulate.

As far as the Cape goes (and I'd recommend that - hampton is for teenagers) Dennis is the hub for kite surfing but there is also a store in Eastham (where my family has a cottage) and there is kitesurfing in Welfleet too.

Many of the Powerline tribe started making weekend trips to Welfleet and Dennis last year as the beaches are more tolerable to kite surfers and there are more riders down on the cape.

Either way, you are going to need a wet suit as the water is cold (though on the bay side it can get up into the 70s depending upon when you go.

Check out www.powerlinesports.com as they have a forum and you can get more advice there.

Also go to yahoo groups and lookup New England Kite Surfers (NEKS) as there is plenty of info and details there as well.
