suggestions for fixing air rush inflation valve

I have an air rush lift 7.4 - the kite is in great condition except for 2 of the inflation valves which have begun to leak - just curios if anyone has had any experience with these kites and knows of some quick easy fixes (besides buying new valves). The valves appear to be similar to those used on inflatable pool toys - simple plug in a hole with a flexible internal one way air flap. Thanks for any feedback.

never mind - fixed with some super glue on the valve leaks - can someone tell me how to remove a post? This post doesn't need to be here any longer.

Did you pick that kite up from Macboy ?

If not, I would suggest you put a 5th line on it !

I found that getting to the bar when I dropped that kite meant tangled line 90% of the time. With a 5th line the bar doesn't travel near as far and relaunch is far more simple.

I had a tab sewn on at a sail shop but I'm sure you could add one yourself. It doesn't have to take much load. See Macboys add for a picture of the tab.

Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.
Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.
Flysurfer : 19m Speed 2 SA, 7m Pulse
Peter Lynn :18m Phantom, 15m Synergy, 10m Synergy, 1200 Farc, 460 Sarc, 130 Tarc, 5m Peel, 4.2m , 6.4, 8.5 C-Quads, 3.5 LS2 single skin.

Rides: Flexi / P.L. Frankin'Buggy , Shaped + straight skiis, sand skis, Coyote blades. Core 95 ATB. RKB R2 ATB .

where exactly was the 5th line attached to the kite? Does it then relaunch like a foil or does it help with leaning the kite over to get it to the edge of the window?

It goes right in the center of the LE, and the safety is on the 5th line, and it puts all the tension into the LE, so it ALWAYS lands LE down, and then pull on the 5th, it will roll on its back, then move it to the edge of the window and relaunch. Easy as pie! But like really it is, takes just about as much time to do as it did to type that.

If you bought Macboy's it will be just as NPW described. I had it put on. If not you may want to add one. The Lift is a good kite and enjoyed a long run in production. The main thing the 02 was lacking was the 5th line attachment.

As I mentioned without the 5th line I ended up with messed up lines almost every time I let go of the bar. The kite wasn't too bad at relaunching but the odds were you couldn't do to tangled lines. The 5th is a big improvement.

Go to Ocean Rodeo's site and check out the 5th line upgrade. It is easy to do the bar on your own.
