Has anybody pulled the mast out and used one of these with a kite? This is the only buggy to which I have access at the moment (I just spent all of my money on a new kite). I am curious to know how they compare with an "official" kite buggy.

I have seen a lot worse being used. Some of the home made buggys dont look this good. But at the same time, you would be better off buying something that is designed for what you are going to use it for. You say this is all you have access to, do you already have one?

Cant hurt to give it a go. Just be careful out for a while till you get used to it.

Looks like the old Zepher buggy (French) from days gone by. And if they're are anything alike regarding wheelbase, be careful of producing too much side torque. Poor Mike Simons is probable still healing up after his Six Million Dollar Man Zepher crash 10 years ago.

Your borrowed buggy may work well for controlled runs on flat surfaces. Just don't go wild until you find a safer ride.
