Beamer 5.0 and kite turning over.. (newbie)
Hi,
I tried a Beamer 5.0 today in changable wind.. most times I got it up, and the thing would turn over in mid air (so the leading edge was on the
bottom)..
It was new out the bag today, and I have had a Beamer 1.8 for a few weeks, so I know the lines are corrected ok.. anyone know why it happens? Change
of wind direction?
..huLLy..

turn over like you turned it yourself, or turned over like it was flipped?

No, it was flying on even lines, not a lot of wind, but 9 times out of 10 when the kite went up, it would turn clockwise 180 degrees and then drop out
the sky
How do you turn it back again????

if all lines were equal, maybe there is a tangle in the bridle?

I think that's what it was... laid it out today and one of the leading edge lines wasn't right.. all sorted now!
BTW, the missus got faceplanted in strong winds today by the Beamer 1.8... wow, they are bad boys in over 25mph winds lol

When I first set up my Beamer 3.6 I had a problem with it cartwheeling almost as soon as it took off. First problem was that the lines weren't
the same length out the bag, second was that the brake lines were attached too short for the way I fly. I have found that adjusting the brake lines
is the best way to stop my Beamer misbehaving!
BTW taking out my 3.6 in 20mph winds at the weekend was a bad idea but fun
nonetheless:D

I flew the Beamer 5.0 and managed to control its cartwheeling.. although I'm going to have to look at the bridle lines, on Cleethorpes beach..
My fun was ended when the thing filled up with seawater and sand!
Fly them on dry beaches people!
