I need a bigger living room

Got the Ace today. Thanks again John.

I knew how big this kite was but seeing it in person now made it just a little larger than I thought

Dude... Jason that's HILARIOUS! I took the same pic with my ace when I got it!! :D And my reaction was "Wow... that's a lot bigger than i had expected!" It's a beauty... Cheers my friend, we've got the same kite quiver so far

Well I got her out today but wind was maybe 5-8 gusting 10-12. I had a blast. In those winds the lift is easy to deal with. I was trying to make it lift to see how bad it would be, and managed about four 2-3' jumps in. Nothing fancy just a few pendulum jumps.

Its amazing how much bigger they look inside compared to outside or up in the air. I live in a tiny apartment and had to hang my 8m out to dry after some snowkiting this winter. I hung it from the ceiling and it literally went wall to wall.........truth is I really didn't want to take it down once it was dry. It just looked so beautiful and magnificent up there.

Mood: They're ALL good ideas. Right up until they become BAD ideas.

[*] posted on 25-7-2008 at 10:58 PM

I've got a line - much like a clothesline that goes diagonally across our basement, through doors as required. When it's in use, obviously there's a kite hanging from it but when it's not, some simple screws set in the roof hold the line up, out of the way.

KC07 - Certified Chronic

Rev Shockwave | Brooza II 3 | BusterII's 3/4/5 | Hornet 1.5
Reactor II 5.5/6.9 | AccessXC 10 | Frenzy 12 | PsychoIII 13 | Speed2 12 | Speed3 15 | SA2.5 19
Bomba 15 | Phantom 15/18 | Venom 13 | Slingshot T3 9/11/14m

Skis, Ski Skates, Nobile RM Pro, MBS Pro 90, Kailolo 5' 11" Custom Phish, Kailolo 5'9" Custom Phish, Plyboard, Proof 151, FlydoorM, F-One 198, Coyotes, Comp XR+, and the BEST WIFE IN THE WORLD!

I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

go lowes and get a 50 ft. retractable clothesline. They are great, when not in use it retracts into a little plastic case hanging on wall, fence, pole, tree whatever. and they are cheap too.

I've got single line kites that won't fit in my living room :)

But it's always impressive the first time you get a bigger power kite and spread it out. Have fun with it!

What do you do with your foils?

Charger 8, 12, 19
Scorpion 10, 16
And other foils...

Flexifoil Bug, CrazyFly board, MBS atb

Unless I am just dying after a session, I always let the kite dry before I pack it up... Or unless I packed quickly because of the rain. I read on a thread here that it takes a while for anything bad to happen from water in your kite or lines. I always make it a point to take my kites to the park, roll them out, rinse them with some fresh water, and then fly them 'till they're dry.

I use one of those gardening/ herbicide things that you pump up and spray. Not a lot of power, but a stream of fresh water wherever I want it.
