Control bar

For a college project i am going to make a control bar, for a 4 line kite.
I am hopeing to get some fed back as to what you guys would want from a control.
do you want it to be: easier on the arms to move the kite around?
more movement of the kite for less movement of the bar?
smoother acceleration?

Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How about some kind of "active" bar i.e. one that gave more turn than the amount given to the system. One that, for example, would flex so that, say 6 inches of input on the left side actually produced 12 inches of force on that side plus 6 inches of give on the other side. like power assisted steering on a car...but for a kite. I'm thinking of some system whereby the bar flexes on the side you are pulling and simultaneously gives on the other side. You may even be able to achieve this through a simple pulley system but as it's the bar you're interested in, you would have to make the bar itself reactive.
