Event, Wildwood Buggy Bash 2008

It's time of the year, Folks!

What: Wildwood Buggy Bash 2008
Where: Wildwood Beach, NJ
When: September 27, 2008
Time: 8 am ~ 6 pm

We are currently communicating with HQ-USA for some demo kites, including Montana IV, Crossfire II and possibly Neo!!! We will also have many other kites you can try. No buggies? No problem! You can use my buggies and landboard for sure.

Lunch will be provided. Nothing fancy, some hotdogs and burgers. Maybe some pizza.

We will announce our gathering place as we get closer to the event day. So, stay tuned!!!

Come on out and have fun with us. For those of you who can’t make it, please pray for wind.

Special thanks to Don @ PowerKiteplace.com, NJ Buggy Club's official shop, for sponsoring this event.

PS. Seats are limited. Bring your camping chair. And sunblock.

Edit 1:We’ve determined our gathering location and it’s E 2nd Ave and John F Kennedy Beach Dr @ North Wildwood.

map

You can park on the side of the street and don’t have to put coins in the meter. It’s free during off season.

Edit 2: Good news! Our sponsor shop, PowerKiteplace.com will bring out HQ Neo and Montana IV to the event

Also, some folks will stay until Sunday so we are making this two day event :thumbup:

Dom, I am interested in Trampa boards. If you have some room in your car, please bring it out for me.

And this is specifically for you, Dom. I've got P4 15M SA2 for you to try

They will totally be in your pricerange barnes :D They're older models
I'm not looking to make any money from them - i never use them and don't want them collecting dust so will take whatever people wanna give me...
One of them is the deck only, one of them includes well used skate trucks...

Someone stole Barnes landboard recently

Barnes, you need a board more than I do so I will stay in line behind you for Dom's board.

One for both of you if you want :)
This is one of them that is currently the deck and grab handle only, can obviously switch out trucks if wanted though

Apollo Motel is where Don of Power Kite Place will be staying, as well as a few more of us. As Don says, its laid back, and the best price in the area.

Apollo Motel (Be forwarned, there is a cheesy midi song that plays. Its annoying.)

Motel suggestion:

http://www.caribbeanmotel.com/aboutus.html

I have stayed there 3 times during summer for family vacations.

The motel is not direct on the beach (1 block) but it's a very beautiful motel with the 60's look. Walk distance from the boardwalk.

The reason we (family) like staying there, its because the motel is well taken care of, it's so clean, been completely renovated a few years ago, so clean that you can walk bare foot, rooms freshly painted. The pool is clean, and heated.

Was looking at the weather for this weekend.. looks like a storm is expected to roll through right when we are going to be there... Might not affect you water rats, but the rest of us might be SOL... Here is to hoping it blows through early... or misses entirely...

Looks like it's going to rain but don't know how much. Don @ powerkiteplace.com will bring out a pop-up tent to cover in case of rain but again, we just don't know whether it's going to be all day rain or occasional shower...

ok, weather forecast says "50% chance of light rain" for this Saturday.

Some of us will be there rain or shine so, if you decide to come by, that would be great but if not, keep an eye on this event section as we are planning another gathering before winter.
