Alright !
Welcome to the "Dogs "
I can't go on enough about how much fun I have + see possible with Coyotes. I have just begun progressing and as folks at SOBB will tell you there is
HUGE potential in these thing. In the right hands.
The 2 feelings I can most compare it to are kite skiing and water skiing. On a beach like sunset those skills will take you a long way Very often it feels like riding hard up beside the boat and holding there on
water skis. In a park it feels more like snowkiting on real cruddy snow with short fat old skis
They run amazingly well on hardpack sand. Rough grass is no problem. What will you ride them on ?
You are going to feel my major stoke NOoooooooowwwwwww!!!
Kites: 2.5m Profoil , Quadrifoil XL kitesurfer, NPW 5 Danger.
Flexifoil: 1.7m Sting, 4.9m Blade 3, 9m Blade 2.
Flysurfer : 19m Speed 2 SA, 7m Pulse
Peter Lynn :18m Phantom, 15m Synergy, 10m Synergy, 1200 Farc, 460 Sarc, 130 Tarc, 5m Peel, 4.2m , 6.4, 8.5 C-Quads, 3.5 LS2 single skin.
Rides: Flexi / P.L. Frankin'Buggy , Shaped + straight skiis, sand skis, Coyote blades. Core 95 ATB. RKB R2 ATB .

:wow:
You have got a GREAT new ride for sure .
Something I discovered is just how valuable it is to be able to side slide power off on hardpack like that ! Power slides are easy , safe and fun on
that terrain! A good start!
I only wish I had a chance to hang around and get more aquainted with the Ramp Eli built. Coyotes , a ramp , that Titan ( + other kites ) and a beach
like yours will open a whole new world to you Trust me on this ! Now you need
a ramp NOooooowwwww :smug:

had a light wind ride on the water today about an hour (V16), ended it with the first fly for FS Titan 9.5 maybe 30min.
Great prep by John(thanks) on the pack.
solo side launch- no problems
for its size, a powerful kite, wind picked up maybe 20mph and actually got lifty, hoped on the ATB for run upwind about 1/2mile.
the wind was gusty so "overflies" and collapse became something new to manage. I was able to recover all collapses or near collapses. tip fold was
at first a problem but disappeared in about 2-3 min. fast powerful kite, not mindless stable no matter what like PL, but i'm sure more time,
consistent wind, i'll have it on the water in short order. maybe next week maybe tomorrow. nice kite, very fresh. oh the 5th line worked fine.
thanks john,
dropped it, wrapped it up as i found it, "dry cycle" finished.
unpacks & packs quick, Keeping the bars&lines on is new ...no tangles sweet!
bag is nice, the board pouch carries my V16 (rods in) perfectly.
The most difficult part will be coming in to drop my PL @25mph. but change is nice

I am guessing the Titan will share some charactaristics with my 10m Psycho 2. It needed about 11 mph wind to start to act as it was designed. I loved
that kite but it needed constant attention. I rarely ever felt relaxed under it. Very different than an arc , for sure. My newer Flysurfers are far
less twitchy and a great improvement. That isn't to say that the Titan isn't great ! It has all the good improvements that have been brought forward.
Break aways at the bridle attatchments, jet flaps, blow outs, adjustable bar pressure and all that stuff. Just go in to this kite KNOWING that
Flysurfer has refined the flying characteristics on the newer kites a lot ! Flysurfer is truly " ahead of their time " in my book !
Dropping the Titan at 25mph should be easy with the FDS ! If you can hold on to it at 25
Now get out on those " dogs " and tell me what you think !

20 mph seemed fine just started feeling lift. twitchy yes, definitely required attention and a very light touch on the bar. the gust where the
trouble. on the ride with the board really stable and easy to handle. seemed at its best, bar in about 2/3 and as long as you keep it busy powering
the ride very smooth plenty of power. the bar out and higher segments of the window was the when the collapse would occur. i haven't adjusted any
thing so there some room for tweaking.
yes the dogs are gonna be fun

sounds like the risers and mixer are bedding in and need a tweak to make it more stable.
its similar to a Speed1 mixer, but you can get i good idea of the concept of tuning the mixer by downloading the Pulse1 manual or looking at the
online video on how to adjust the tune of the kite.
i'd say set the Cmain mixerball adjuster so that the Criser is about 2cm shorter than the ABgroup risers.... basically move the mixerball towards the
pulleys to shorten the riser relative to the other knots.
you can also move the AB lockout figure 8knot on each side of the AB riser. move the knot down a bit so the Crisers can not go beyond a certain
point... i set the kite to ZERO when it left here, but i only had it up in 10-15mph winds and it was not bedded in yet.
that TITAN was what won me over from TUBE kites back in 2004....and i'll never look back.
have fun !

i'll hook it into some steady wind first for more time to weight the set up and see how it flies, then add the change on the c riser. i had watched
the vid, good reference. thanks for the info .
the trop. storms are mixing up the wind patterns, clean wind coming soon.

A little more time on the titan with the c-riser taken in 2cm, seems to have improved some plus more fly time. def better with the overfly. I
will try 1cm more in on the c-risers definitely light touch on the bar. maybe 2hours on it riding the ATB & STATIC.
better with all that but the invert line twist, if it happens can eat up the time. esp with the 5th line. has the same "psuedo underpowered feel"
like PL( could be a foil thing in general i am just giving my impression) in idle but in flight plenty of power. on a run all seems solid and def
got some smoking power and speed. just keeping it busy in the lulls and idle are the challenging aspects.
OH yeah, PL Venom13 on the way, thanks Don, and unless i fall into a SA 19, I'm done with the gear thing for a while. LEI's FOR SALE!

hit the titan again today for about an hour on the atb .
really gettin' a feel for the speed this kite has, wow. the wind window just seems small to me. keeping it back in the window seems to the spot to
keep it . and hard not to go up wind, the downwind whip arounds can really start to smoke thankfully the kite comes around very quick to stay hooked
up, maybe a water run wed/thurs if it feels right.
more funjunk to play with ... PL V13 already hit the water with it but the coyotes are just around the corner this is gonna be wicked sick fun.

saturday out with the V13 smoked the bearing on the ATB ...sooo coyotes are in the backup position , get some time again on these things, really fun
onshore breeze .
incredidble flow with these things. even tried some little jumps. the v13 was right on time. the dogs are on the travelling team. bearings for my
board was the "break" they needed. soon as a good day for the v16 comes up these dogs are gonna fly.
today got a chance to add the v13 on the water. 20-25mph this rig is critical quick my friends, i don't get the easy big air like the v16, but glad
i switched to v13 to finish the last 2hours.

ANOTHER BOARD TO RIDE
AIRUSH SWITCH 142 DECENT ROCKER CONCAVE BOTTOM, PLENTY-O-FINS .
VERY LIGHT, DEFINITELY TOUGHER THAN MY JL 133 AND HOPING FOR MORE RANGE. THE 133 AND ALMOST 200 LBS. REQUIRES A MOUNTAIN OF WIND AND SPEED TO REALLY
ENJOY THIS BOARD. SO I'M HOPING 142X41 GIVES THE FLAT 145 A REST.
REALLY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THE BOARD...THE SIZE, SHAPE, AND BOTTOM SEEM RIGHT FOR ME AND FOR $200 I WILL FIND SOME GOOD IN IT
ANY OPINIONS GOOD OR BAD...???

the 145 i have will get me out in light, it has NO rocker so it is limited for rougher water, usable, but can catch sometimes. over about 20mph can
be super slick ride.
this board has some rocker and lighter i'll use it today and see.
crazy fly allaround was the choice but this low buck deal has side tracked me ..alittle
fun doing it SO IT'S WORTH A TRY

just finished a session on the water with 142 airush switch.
another moonrise sunset thing but more wind solid 20mph at 4:30 huge rollers coming 10ft maybe a few where 12ft. this spot is know for better surfer
action.
in general the surf here would graded as poor to absent. but does have it's moments
anyway ... board is just right ..planes like a light wind board and handles the rough at speed no problem. very light , comes around in turns and
holds it solid
jumps land alot like the JL, holds alot of load before pops, very forgiving and can really grip with a fast landing
very smooth(definitely in the silky category) and rips up wind effortlessly
it has these little heelside rail fins ...really don't know if they help
the all around board slot is filled ....needs a handle though.

AH...BIGSTEVE jOHN (POWERZONE )COULD ANSWER THAT ABOUT THE fLYSURFERS MORE ACCURATELY.
SA19 IS ULTIMATE LIGHT WIND HOOK 17&19 WOULD BE CLOSE, MORE OF A RIDER WEIGHT NEED THAN WIND AVAILABLE. BOTH ARE GNAT FART SENSITIVE SO 3-4KNOTS
IS REALLY MILKING THE BREEZE RIGHT DOWN TO ZERO
I WOULD THINK THE P4 15 WOULD HAVE MORE UPPER RANGE..
ANYWAY ...............WE ARE ON PL TOPIC TODAY SPECIFICALLY HYPER VENOM MODS AS I HAVE ONE AND SHARING MY IMPRESSIONS FOR THE BETTERMENT OF ALL WHO
KNOWS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE LAST ZIPPER IS CLOSED.

SEEMS ANY CHANGE IN THE #2 BRAID WOULD REALLY MAKE THE BACK FEEL VERY SLOPPY SO COMPENSATION WOULD BE NEEDED, KS HAS BEEN ON IT SO I WILL FLY AS IS.
I EXPECT A LITTLE MORE SNATCH IN THE LIFT FROM THE MOD ACCELERATING INTO THE TOP OF THE WINDOW .........
AND IN ABOUT 2 HOURS I WILL KNOW
