Well I guess I'm guilty as charged my buggy just doesn't want to stay on the ground, Killed my extended flexi axle, just don't look like it use to and
yesterday on the 9.5 Sabre came down a little to hard on one side and snapped a rear wheel bolt, but hey a hell off a day...lol

I'm not sure if it is a fluke in timing but Scudley and D'sliddy both noticed cracking / breaking in their P.L. buggy forks right when they decided to
start jumping ? Both are heavy and had put in 2 years of stress spinning and racing before.
Check things over regularly once you start jumping !
I am just thrilled to think that WolfWolfee is back just in time to take the Alberta boys to the next level !

I have noticed on several PL's cracking at the head stock. The flexi is a little more rugged but jumping takes its toll. I did pick up some
modifications from Stupid Dave for the rear axle. Just love bunny hops and pedulum swings, keeps the heart racing.

Well this may be timely. Later this week I am going to put a very special buggy on eBay.
This is one of the two super-tricked out and heavily reinforced Flexifoil buggies that were flown/ ridden at NABX this spring by Flexifoil Team Riders
"Stupid" Dave Roberts and Will McKean. The buggy was flown off of five foot ramps angled at 25 degrees.
This buggy is a standard Flexifoil buggy with a double reinforced rear axle, reinforced siderails at the down-tube joint and reinforced front wheel
fork. The buggy comes with brand new standard tires (they were ripping up a pair of tires (excuse me, tyres) each day at NABX). This buggy is about
as indestructible as you can get.
The only thing I am waiting for is for the local graphics house to transfer the signatures of Dave Roberts and Will McKean to fabric that can be
afixed to the back of the buggy seat. This makes it truly one-of-a-kind..
All proceeds from the sale of this buggy will go to the Georgia Island Sea Turlte Center.
http://www.georgiaseaturtlecenter.org/ We share the beach with the nesting loggerhed and other species of Sea Turtles so it's only fitting that
we give back to those who protect them.
I got the buggy from Slawek (Zloty here on this forum) who had arranged to support the Flexi Team Riders at NABX and I had intended to post the buggy
arund the time of the Jekyll Island Buggy Expo, but other things got in the way. Better late than never.
Now about jumping in a bug. Zloty is the king of jumping here in the States and he will tell you that you better know what you are doing, including
complete mastery of the buggy forwards, backwards and all transitions. He and the Team Riders also wear complete moto-cross body armor. I saw these
guys land face-first a few times with the bug on-top of them, so clearly it does not always go well.

Wow, did you make out like a bandit. Really sorry to see Stupid Dave leave Flexi he was a great rider. I fully agree with the safety gear, I wear a
661 suit and full leg coverings with helmet. I am always learning and spend a lot of time picking myself up and trying again. The rewards of pulling
off a good pendulum swing on a turn is well worth the bans and bruises just at my age takes Ionger to heal up...lol:karate:

Yes, you have the other one. "Solid peice of kit" as Will would say.
Woolfee, I did not know that Dave was no longer with Flexi; shame.

Not quite true, I had the PL for 14 months when I noticed the cracks. DS had had his for a little over a year when he gave it the first fork repair.
Also, I might get a little air when going over some of the little lumps and bumps at Garry Point. It is not like I am going over ramps or doing
massive pendulum jumps.
BladeRunner, you should check out the fork on Greg's buggy. On one side the lower brace is held on with a blob of filler over a 1/4" gap between the
brace and the fork leg. That blob, more of a cold solder than a weld, is the only thing holding it together.
My new fork, (pretty much a copy of a Libre fork, but wider), should be ready for painting next week and, weather permitting, debuted in a week
Saturday.
