Flysurfers & Wichard release

Anyone using a wichard release with their flysurfer? I don't like reconstructing the quick release (after use) and the chicken loop doesn't come off easily if you are overpowered.

I would not use a such hook on top of the current chicken loop

If you dont like the FS chicken loop, try to fit another one you prefer. or may be the one with the infinity bar

Are you talking about pushing out in an emergency or just when unhooking ?

I have that same trouble with most of my kites when powered. I just hold the bar with my left hand and manhandle the actual loop with my right. With this being my normal method I do it without thinking too hard ? I have only ever had to pull the pin in an emergency once. You shouldn't HAVE to pull it that often ? You should check it often though !

A wichard seems like overkill to me :puzzled:

Talking about the "pin" quick release. I can't release the chicken loop when powered up.

if you cant release the pin quick release when overpowered, you loop might be defective, because mine works fine in all situations

can you take a pic of how it s re-assembled ??

Chicken loop release

I agree with buzz. The Flysurfer chicken loop for me will unhook easily when powered. It actually won't unhook sometimes when under powered. Anway the hard part is putting the loop back together, not unhooking it. I would agree that maybe your loop isn't made or put together right. Are you using the 1/2 depower loop line (that little white one?)

I'm with Buzz and bourck...sounds like something is amiss. No reason a properly assembled CL would get hung up that I can think of.
