splash gaurd for PL

tried an OEM PL splash gaurd but do not like how it fits on my PL Race. seems the frorks on my buggy are not wide enough and the gaurd is forced into a bind or bend. the second thing that bugs me is the gaurd sliding, from side to side, when turning the tire. odd:no:
i gave my ??? splash guard away in prep for the new one.
i know Flexi and Libre have a splash gaurd. can I assume they would fit most any buggy?
what do you PL buggy guys use for splash gaurds?

and unlike the PL splash guard is fixed only to catch the spray from going str8 but not after you turn the wheel........

for less than 15 bucks get yourself a grinding shield pull off the head band and drill 2 holes to zip-tie at each end of the crown via cross brace now use the holes from the head were it hinge and zip it to the fork....now it will catch any debris + keeps the feet from rubbing against the front wheel can be painted and great place to slap on some stickers or race #s

Another cool idea Kyte slinger. I like the way you think.

I made one from a PVC elbow like the Old Skool Boyz. It worked and looked O.K.. It never gathered mud although it didn't have much clearance. It was performing a useless task. My standard Peter Lynn splash apron seems to do the job so I removed the PVC fender. The splash apron was 16 bucks , I think ? The elbow .... 4 bucks.

My real problem is I have canted wheels and it sends the wet sand up at an angle so it lands on top of me in a shower  I need to fabricate some fenders for my back wheels ! :puzzled:

fenders all the way

there are different methods to making a fender to fit any buggy ... if you can weld i'd consider a 3-D style. http://xxtreme.nl/3dmudguard.html

i like kite slinger's idea, its cheap and easy to assemble. *thumbs up*

i'm about sold on a fender. just thinking about saving wear/tear on seat bottom. maybe a fender and a butchered 'crazy carpet' belly pan is the way to go:alien:

Heres a link that I found a while back, great way to go spend $15 on a trashcan, and get 2 rear mudguards, a front, and a belly pan. These rear mudguards may work well for you bladerunner. :tumble: I know, I know, im amazing, you can pay me later =P

I think if you head over to PTW's site you'll see a bunch of mods including the one Nick was talking about. If not that particular one I think that's where I saw the cool carbon fibre looking PVC elbow thing.
