Why am I such a sucker?
Anytime the wind blows... just a little, I get to a kiting spot and am inevitably disappointed. Aside from a few coastal sessions this year, and early
this year, I have been duped by the promise of wind. Even when the forcasts say it, we just havent had much luck here in central Texas.
Why cant we just get some decent freakin wind? I am hopelessly addicted. But at least I know that there are others like me somewhere out there...
mostly here on the forum. And one guy that tried to get up today with a brief gust. But as he said... at least he was only a few feet from shore. Next
time, I will keep that in mind.

Shared sentiments here. Add to this a 16 acre field across the street from me that I thought made kiting a mandatory addition in my life only to find
that it's dirty as all get out and chock full of at least three if not more different wind behavior zones making traction not very easy.
I look for the bright side. If I can fly in pitchy, shifty garbage winds that are usually just enough to get the ripstop aloft I'll be in heaven for
those park & ride days.

Actually I thought we had a great year here in Central Texas. Only recently it slowed down but that is always expected this time of the year.
There were many times I was lucky enough to fit in 4 or 5 afterwork water sessions in a week for several weeks in a row.
I made it out yesterday with my 6m Pansh for some landboarding. The winds were up and down but at least I had a little fun, better than nothing.
Where abouts are you flying at dylanj? What size are you putting up on these light wind days? maybe we can meet up sometime if you're close by.

I have had my kite for maybe 2 months no wind no time. I went out this weekend brand new kite, brought it out to the beach nice steady light wind,
once I unpacked the kite the wind just died. So I sat there hoping and waiting but nothing. I got my new kite sandy for nothing. Maybe it is time
to sell.
