I wonder what people think about PKC shirts and or stickers ?

I understand that PKF is a non-profit site. I am sort of thinking this could be done by the members, for the members ?

I don't have any special talents in this direction but I'm sure someone on the forum could put something like this together ? That person can be sure to cover their costs + shipping and if they end up with enough extra to buy a new kite we all win !

What I see is a similar poll as was set up for the Logo to change ( to the same Logo ) We can vote on the best graphic.

I love wearing my SOBB, NABX , Snowkite Rodeo, Skypilot and Kite brand shirts. A PKF shirt would be great to have as well ! :wee:

I would like a PKF Tshirt with current logo as it is how it's known

I bought a kitelife shirt which arrive quickly and in high quality - I was quite impressed. All you need to do is set up the artwork and you can have anything your hearts desire. Shirts, sweaters, hoodies, hats, shorts, coffee cups, mouse pads........I could go on. Anyway. It's all through cafepress and it's quite easy.

Not sure if PKF would be willing to set it up but I know myself and many others would surely donate their talents prepping the artwork. Let me know if I can help. The catch would be that PKF would have to set up an account, set the pricing (and maybe make a few bucks off the whole deal). Alternatively I'll gladly set it up and try to make it so that no profit is made by me (I'm sure you can set the prices to zero profit.

Sounds cool to me. Could try a couple different designs. As long as you keep the primary icon the logo from this page, I'd be game. got a couple random ideas floating around, but i'm sure someone with actual artistic talent could do much better...

Can't say I've done it before but do have a buddy that has so PKF - just say the word if you want me to make it happen. If it looks like you have to make money with it I'll pass the reigns to you guys.

It's a good idea and one that has been considered before. We recently attempted to choose a better logo, but a general vote left us with the current one.

I suggest we make another attempt at a more modern logo (that everyone likes) and then offer it on a t-shirt. I also have a contact here on the forum for that.

I could atempt a lino cut version..then it would be the same logo but a bit more organic and black and white would be easier to get onto shirts and things

I have all these ideas and no skills. I sort of pictured a shirt with the original PKF logo small and on the front. Then something that we all vote on larger and on the back ?

It MAY be possible to use the original logo. Thing is... it was quickly created for the web years ago - only a small work file that may not be possible to enlarge. I'll check on that.

Another is to use one of the printers I've talked to on this site. I think we'll make that decision once the logo issue is settled.

I'm not creatively artistic but I think if the size of the front logo is in stone, it should be more on one side of the chest. Center it if it can be somewhat larger. I don't know what the constraints are on this, I'm just talking aesthetics. Also, I really liked the red and blue block letters that came out of the "change the logo" thread a while back, if we could incorporate that with it.

I'm thrilled this is getting some "traction". :P Sorry I couldn't resist. I'll order at least 3 of them. I need 2XL as well. Some places don't even offer that size. An XL on me looks like I'm an insecure and not so accomplished body-builder after about 3 trips through the wash.

Or maybe.. on the front have just the logo in the left upper chest area, and on the back, the text. Just a thought...

Cafepress are kind of a rip off.........

But they make small runs available to anywhere in the world and handle billing and shipping - all in one. It means I can upload a logo and you may buy your stuff tomorrow. Making it easy work for us is important. Any other suggestions?

BeamerBob, the logo cannot be bigger because the original artwork is small. But it can, however, be placed over the left chest rather than centered. I'll work more on this tomorrow.

Keep the ideas coming and if all goes well, I'll have a cafepress store open in the morning.

I NEVER wanted this to take up any time or money from PKF. Thanks for stepping up and showing us what you see as a good idea ! I think that keeping it as simple and pain free for PKF is important ! I don't mind a little extra cost to cafepress if it keeps it simple and gets the job done !

I def like the front logo on the left chest like that. Go to cafe and do a search for kite buggy. There are about 75 designs and the ones with smaller logos on the front have them on the left chest. I like the buggygruven one. There is one with a small logo on the left chest and another that is large and it is centered but covers most of the front of the shirt. Pricey but I still think I NEED one.

I say that this PKF one - no matter where the front logo winds up (though we could do both) will be one of the best. I bought the "have you hugged your kite today" shirt and love the quality. The only thing I don't love about it is that they made the design the same front and back which seems weird to me. Luckily I steer clear of mirrors so people can't see my front and back at the same time

We can offer a few different shirts, some centered and some on the left.

What do you think about logo + "power kite forum" text on the front and then "kite traction community" + web address text on the back (as shown above)?
