Wundermap said winds were 15-17. I dont think so. I was feeling a wee bit over powered flying the Ace today and I have flow it in 20-22 mph winds. Im going to guess it was blowing about 25+. I did get some very huge jumps in. At one point I looked down and I was about 8-10' over a 3' trashcan on the beach. First time I have ever been that high in the air or for that long but DAMN it was fun!!!!

If the wind stays through the weekend Ill be making another trip out there Sun.

I kited VB in 2003. Nice beach but soft sand. My inlaws thought i was crazy when I got lofted...........aj:eekdrull:

Windmeters only tell you the speed at the ground level not 30m up.Plus depending on the location on VB he could of getting gust between houses............aj

I was right by the Hilton down there on the beach. The sand wasnt too bad actually, not like it is during the summer. Its been pretty wind blown and wet the past few weeks.

I may make the investment in a windmeter someday but until then Im a pretty good guesser Besides like action jackson said, they dont tell me whats happening on the other end of my lineset

There were 2 kite boarders out there today and they were holding their own out there too. Didnt get a chance to talk to em though.

Im gonna head down there again today around noon if anyone else wants to join.
