It looked like he was flying a fixed birdle kite about 5M? It also looked like he came down pretty hard and bounced.

Unless im very much mistaken, its f-one pro rider magic from properly back in the day, pushing the boundaries of what kiteboarding was about and what was possible. if you find any footage of magics fellow F-one pro rider from the time, a certain someone you may have heard of by the name of chasta, youll see something very much in common about how the pros flew thro the mountains back then on two line fixed bridle foils. Id suggest not an idiot, but a man worth shaking the hand of and thanking for pushing the sport so hard it developed the high depower, quick turning, super safe kites that allow you, the mere mortal to be able to do 0.1% of what this guy can do.

I understand how Chasta, Alex ( Keith Kalio R.I.P. ) and many others have pushed / led this sport to where it is. I have had the pleasure of thanking a few of them in person ! Without these people we would still be pulling sleds accross Greenland for kite fun ( thanks to Conceptair for getting that all started WAY back )

I'm just not clear about the 2 line kite thing ? That kite is a 4 line of some sort ? I don't see a trim strap so it may well still be a fixed bridle ? I don't recognize that model of kite ? Does anyone know what it was ?

I agree that we needed people to take risks so we could learn how to do it safe. I also agree that almost all of those pioneers took all precuasions available to them at the time. There is a fine line between pushing the limit and being stupid. Something that may have been seen as pushing the limit a few years ago can look downright stupid to an uneducated eye . Now with these viral videos our chances of looking stupid have just shot up ! :ticking:

i have a little thought that it's an older fixed bridle flysurfer? I could be completely wrong but it looks like one and some others were saying it was.
