Snow in the Desert

Hey Sailors,
By now most all have heard that it snowed in Vegas yesterday.
Snow-laden palm trees - Quite a sight.

In the past, one of my favorite stoopid utterances was:
"I can't go sailing... The lake is wet"

Now, however, it has to be:
"Hey! Who put snow on my lake?"

These are crazy times.

Hope all are well and with loved ones this holiday.

Yep...got a lot in Palmdale (high desert community) and even some on the hills above Malibu!

Unfortunately, none in the Valley....I was hoping to buggy in the snow on Balboa Park....that would have been fun!

Hey, I used to live in Palmdale and Lancaster CA! The high desert was ALWAYS windy. probably great for kiting! Haven't been back in quite a few years.

Good to hear from you Corey! We had the schools shut down and roads closed for what I thought was silly amounts of the white stuff. At least my snowkite areas are getting a good base.;-)

Hey McDuck,

My sister lives up there and she's always telling me how windy it is...but every time I bring my kites I hear the same old thing....geez, I don't understand it, it was really blowing yesterday.

Haven't really kited there because if I'm not visiting her, I'm on my way to El Mirage...
