I am a member of Fly Pittsburgh Kite Club and the AKA…

I am a power kiter and love to ICE-Kite when ever I can. My wife and I are planning a trip to Burlington, VT in February and I was hoping to find others with the same affliction as myself. If there are any power kiters in the area that brave the cold please forward my information along to them.

If you are going to be there Feb 21-22 you will have lots of other kiters in the area. There is an event called Kitestorm 2009 that is held on Lake Champlain at Sand Bar State Park north of Burlington.

Photos from past events show more snowkiting than icekiting though.

I will be in Albany, NY and I would definitely like to go, it will be my first kiting event. I don't have a board or anything right now... would this be any issue? I'm assuming there will be plenty of others that are flying static. We will have to see how things go as the event date draws closer.
