it would be a sponatenous drop in for me, there used to be a tour that came thru tybee island off SAV, GA, about the time runabouts got pro attention and stand ups where still doing well.

kite option makes it nice..... check with the wife

I'm available and interested. Problem is I'd like to go somewhere to buggy and Wexler would want to landboard. I understand that's off the table in Daytona?

I'll be at the Treasure Island Kite festival in the Tampa/ Clearwater region of the Gulf Coast that weekend. Always a festive event with good riding space.

I will also be at Treasure Island, hoping for some good wind..............aj

Treasure Island looks like my destination as well. Wexler and I will head down that Friday.

Edit: Change of plans. The dire economy found us. We got news that next year will have salary freezes, hiring freezes and probably no bonus. Time to tighten up a bit. Don't tell the wife about the Reactor I ordered yesterday though. I really NEEDED it. Really! 1 more kite and my quiver transformation will be complete. I need an 8.3m Reactor for when the Blurr just isn't big enough.

I am not super familiar with the Daytona area for kiteflying. I'll have to play it by ear. But if the winds are good I'm going out on the water at least.

Yup yup. Figure it out when you get there.

We used to do that kind of riding when kitesurfing was unheard of here in Florida. We went to lots of places in the Keys in the 1990's and up and down the East Coast.

If you come down to Daytona next weekend you'll at least have a lot to watch and some good parties as well.

Ok, remember this is a jetski event but festivities at night should be out of control. Check out the Daytona Freeride website I posted in the first post.

If the wind is good I'll cruise to another spot on the beach for some kite action.

Anyway you look at it will be a fun weekend.
