PL Twister spring ??

I did not notice this when I had the kite, but the new owner pointed out on the twister flying lines there is what appears to be a spring looking wire around the lines ??? Anyone have any idea what this is all about. Maybe the new owner would be so kind as to upload a picture for y'all. From what I could tell from the picture it was wrapped around the stitching of the sleeved loop.

All I see in the picture is the zig-zag stitching. I have some Twisters on the way for demo and stock and will investigate.

Yeah, that looks like typical stitching to lock in a loop.

This is an actual wire that is coming undone from the kite bridle. It is on the brake lines where I notice it.

Thanks for the picture Akulakat I can see that one a lot better than the picture I was looking at in my email. All I could see was the black looking spring to the far left of the picture where there is only one line.

I would have to agree with the others that it is just the stitching to hold the loop. So I guess PL stitches their loops with wire???

Are you suggesting that the picture is showing the " spring " and where it came loose ?

All I see is typical " zig zag " stitching ? It may be some fancy carbon fiber or something ? Peter Lynn IS a visionary !

In the picture it looks like it may be coming loose on the left ???
I'm sorry but I don't see a spring ( helix shape ) or anything that looks steel in the picture ?
If the stithching is coming loose, I have no doubt that Dakitze has you covered !!!!

If it is as what it looks like I would just seal the loose bit with heat ?

need a better photo, taken on white paper background, and is there a better angle to see what's up?

I downloaded, zoomed in close, and can see what looks like a tiny black thread poking out of the end of the zig zag stitching on the left, it doesn't look like wire at all? :dunno: agree it looks like the doubled-over part is just beginning to come loose on the left....

fixed bridles, flying static, been two years now... ??? folks must be wondering....

sting 1.7, dp power 2.5, crossfire 3.2, ace 5, blade iv 6.5, ace 8, ace 12...

:o:puzzled:

I guess I'm going to have to call myself a retard on this one. I opened it up in the living room and went over all the connections. Y'all are right about the stitching. But I see nothing of a wire at all on the kite. I'm pretty sure it was on the kite and not the control lines.

Perhaps in the sunlight, there was an optical illusion that made part of the line 'disappear' on me. Sorry guys for the confusion. It was fun :puzzled:

It must have been the kite bag gremlins. They do funny things to kites and lines in the bag.

I am happy that all is well and there was no problems.
