HQ Montana 4- 7M or 9.5M ?
Looking at getting iether the Montana 4 7m or 9.5m for kiteboarding (snowkiting) but can't find alot of info online as to which to get. Live in
Ontario, Canada near Toronto, I'm 140 lbs and have been using a 12m Contra on the water this past summer. I am looking at getting just 1 kite this
year that will cover the majority of wind days and enjoy getting some air time! Thanks for any advice you guys have.

9.5 is a versatile size and you can hold down a lot of kite with skis. Low end is 6-8 mph and upper end limted by nerve. The 7 will want 10-11 mph to
start.

My 90lb son Wexler just replaced his MIII with a 9.5 M4. I can buggy with it and he can board with it in 7-8 mph. We haven't had any hot winds to
find where the upper limit is for him. The 7m would require some heavy winds to really power up though.

I made my Montana 2 7m work for 1 yr starting in 12mph winds on a ATB on Grass and maybe no more than 20mph. I couldn't hold her down in anything
higher, also it's a second gen. and I hear the Montana 4 has increased in Depower. :bouncing: I did get bored eventually, getting the Montana 3 9.5
and have yet to really test her out. if you want higher jumps go with the 9.5. I think the highest jump with my 7m was maybe 6ft in 18mph winds. and
you gotta work her good. I weigh 145 lbs .:tumble:

That adds up to how I feel about the 9.5. So if you always have 12+ mph winds, then the 7 would be a match for you. I hope to get to fly the MIV
tomorrow with 17 mph winds.

Thanks for all the info guys. I'm going to go with the 9.5 which also seems to be getting the most positive feed back. Tim- I'm actually getting from
silent sports, already talked to Bruce and he's got one sitting on the shelf
Lucky me. Thanks again for the help everyone.
