Dakitez Power Kites Demo Day

When: Feb. 7, 2009
Where: Ocean Beach San Francisco, CA
Time: noon – 4pm
What will be there to fly:
Flexifoil: Blurr and possibly blade IV
Pansh: Sprint, Legend, Ace
Peter Lynn: Reactor
HQ: Neo, Apex 2, Montana 4
More kites might be added before the event.

This demo day is an “unofficial” event. There will be no kites for sale the day of the event. This is just a friendly get together to meet up with other local pilots and fly all the new kites. Everyone one is welcome no matter your skill level. If you’re a newbie this will be a great chance to try some kites and get some advice and pointers from other pilots. So bring your harness or borrow one and come out and fly some kites with us.

Everyone do your wind dance!! If you just recently bought a new kite please leave it at home ... We DO NOT need you bringing the new kite curse with you!! I already have enough of that curse.

I'll be there - I just hope the weather holds out for us - looks good so far - I think that low tide is at 3:50 - perfect.

Can you set one of these up for Austin, TX? ;D I've really wanted to try a Blurr out lately =/

Well I am in! I have not seen you guy's in awhile. Thats 4. Anyone else? My woman works that day so you may be staying til dark if the wind is blowing. She gets off at 1. I should be able to get there by 3:30. It should be from 1 to 6pm. At any rate I will see ya there.:singing:

No worries sthrasher if the wind is blowing we will be there. Be sure to give a call before you head that way to make sure its worth the trip.

If all I have to do is declare a demo day to get everyone together ... then lets have a demo day every other day from feb 7 - feb 7, 2010

Well it's just about time! Flexiblade, What does the weather look like? I belive it is going to rain thurs-fri. There should be a pretty good chance for sat to be good.

Not really, from what I've been seeing Saturday may be a wash - maybe 6 to 8mph at most - Sunday looks much better - and Monday is fluctuating from good to epic. DAKITEZ - do you want to reschedule?


P.S. kitedog: if there's wind when you come through odds are I'll be there.

I have other things going on in SF on saturday. This is why i picked this day from the beginning. Since I am already going to be there anyway the demo day is still on. everyone feel free to give me a call and see if there is any wind. This wouldn't be the first time I sat on OB with no wind. Lets just hope the scenery is good

The only thing that sucks is a montana IV is arriving on friday and needs to be shipped out on monday. So hopefully saturday or sunday I will be able to get it up and give it a go.

Also want to thank HQ kites for supplying me with the montana IV for the demo day! Great bunch of people i can't say enough good things about them

AD72 bring your buckets and shovels incase there is no wind we can build sand castles

The wind gods have corrected me - Saturday has just upgraded - Morning slow but after 1:00 should be picking up steadily.

I'll be there - should be a great day - high tide 8 am low tide 3:20 - should be runnable from 10:30 on - all those that were even thinking of coming should come, it'll definitely be worth your time.

Flexi, Thanks for the up date on the school girl.:puzzled: Errr. Something like that. See ya guy's there. Quick question about the sand. What kinda tire pressure do you run? I have yet to buggy on sand. I have the new slicks I got for nabx last year they should be fine but may need a little more air.

The montana almost didn't make it, but after a 2 hour round trip at 10pm last night to get it from the ups hub we are good to go :wee:

I just wanted to thank everyone that came out. It was good to see all of you again. It would of been a little better if we had more wind, but I still had a good time none the less.
