January easterlies in Oregon!!

Finally tried the mountain board today but after a couple wipeouts, I realized the buggy is where its at. Saw a couple earlier on in the day, then, true to his name, sunset Jim came cruisin through while the girlfriend and I were down enjoying the scenery. I was even more stoked to see the towing mechanism on the way home. Anyway, if you have that older buggy layin around, I would like to try it out one of these weekends. Maybe on the next set of eaterlies if you dont mind. Anyway, not a great pic, but you never came back down the beach far enough for me to get more.lol.

Glad is was nice on sunset beach... given the 1ft tide I thought about heading up that way but we just setup camp in Manzanita. Weather was incredible (65/sunny) and the wind was 'sufficient', 6-18+28 for most of the time I was out there. I flew the 2.5m and was underpowered most of the time but was having enough fun that I didn't go back to get another kite. Plus I'm still not used to gustiness on handles and didn't want to loose my arms  East winds are always a iffy day by me since we've got the mountain there to swirl the winds. But most weather sites are reporting great weather all week and then of course rain for the -1.7ft tide next weekend :(

NP Ryan. I was going to give you a call yesterday but I really didn't give it much hope considering the wind direction. I don't normally ride in those easterlies, but I was hard up... *smile*

That last hour or so it wasn't too bad at all. I couldn't even imagine trying to board in what it was doing earlier. That 5-10 then gusting to 20 with some whirling action going on, that's pretty tough.
